After a long day, noon had come. Thellia was very exhausted after serving all day and carrying heavy trays. As it was already nearing night, Thellia was on with her last and final serve for the day.

As she was walking to the table, Thellia was shoved back. Startled by the sudden impact, Thellia stumbled lightly. The cups she was carrying had almost fell to the ground. If she hadn't maintained her balance, even she would have fallen down.

"Are you blind?! Look at what you've done!" A woman screeched.

Thellia, who was not fond of loud noises was quite irked. Wearing a fake smile, she answered the woman. "No, I am not. However, you seemed to forget very easily that it was you who bumped into me." She gazed at the woman with irritated eyes.

"Though I do not know why did that, but one thing I'm certain of is that you're the one who is blind." Thellia looked at the woman.

"And very forgetful." Thellia added.

"You!" The woman's face was red. It was very fortunate that there were lesser people in the tavern in noon.

Gritting her teeth, the enraged woman grabbed the nearest glass and splashed it on Thellia's face. Thellia covered her face and waited for the beer to splash on her, but it didn't. Confused, Thellia opened her eyes to look.

'..What?' She thought in confusion.

Thellia noticed the tall figure infront of her. 'It's the pesky man from earlier...What is he doing?'

Lyle stood infront of Thellia, drenching wet from the beer. He moved quite fast, shielding her in time and catching every droplet that was thrown in the air. With disapproving eyes, he looked at the woman who threw the drink.

'Why did he shield me?' Thought Thellia.

"Miss, don't cause a scene just because of that. Looking at you right now, not even a single drop had touched you yet you're yelling and making a scene?"

"L-Lyle..!" The lady looked embarrassed.

"She started it!" She pointed at Thellia.
"She bumped into me firs-"

"Don't lie. I saw everything with my own eyes." Lyle looked at her with an unpleasant expression.

"Lyle-"

"Please apologize to the lady and leave." Lyle told her. Though he loved to fool around, Lyle remained a fair and kind hearted person who disliked disputes.

"But it was her-"

"I despise people who lie." Lyle spoke coldly. The woman looked like she was on the verge of tears.

'He's not that bad, afterall.' Thought Thellia. She stared at the woman who wore a terrible expressions. Thellia, who was lightly smiling, was looking at the woman with a smug expression.

'Go on, cry.'

The woman bit her lips. Looking at the ground as she spoke in a hard voice. "My Apologies."

The woman didn't bother to apologize sincerely, as she had already walked away from embarrassment.

After the woman was gone, Thellia lightly tapped Lyle's shoulder. "Thank you for that."

"Although, it seems like she was trying to find faults with me solely because of you?"

Lyle turned around to face her with a smile. "Is that so?" He asked. "Then isn't it good that I blocked the beer from splashing on you?" He laughed.

'Even slightly, he doesn't look bothered after what happened to him at all.'

"Are you alright?" Thellia looked at his face, completely drenched with beer. Looking at him more clearly, Thellia noticed that he had defined features, along with an overall delicate face. He looked quite unreal.
