"Haa..." Thellia heaved a breath, staring at the letter.

'He sent a letter again...'

Thellia paused to recall Lyle's words.

'So I am supposed to meet him in that balcony again?'

'Again.'

Thellia carefully put down the letter before heading toward the door. She headed out and went straight to the balcony's direction.

'The letters are always from Lyle, when is Rosette going to write to me?'

In the relaxing weekend, Thellia only wanted to be locked in her room and sleep for the entire day. However, upon receiving a letter from Lyle, Thellia wanted to get it over with immediately as possible, as she would not be disturbed later.

Halting in front of the balcony door, Thellia turned the knob before heading out. After stepping out the balcony, Thellia was expecting to see Lyle as soon as she opened the door, but to her surprise, Lyle was not there.

There was no one in the balcony.

'I must have went too early.'

Clack

Thellia closed the door after stepping back inside. She began to take steps, going to the direction of Lyle's room. After a few seconds, Thellia arrived and stood in front of his door.

Knock

Knock

Knock

Lyle flinched in surprise when he heard the sudden knock. "Yes?" He asked, loud enough for the person outside to hear

Lyle stood in front of his mirror, impatiently putting on a steel earring.

"This darned...." He mumbled, irritated that he couldn't not successfully put it on.

"Why is this so hard to put on!"

'I'm going to be late...'

"It's me." The person from outside answered.

The familiar voice made Lyle's heart leap a beat. His face immediately brightened as he hurriedly headed to the door.

"Hello Thelle!" He greets happily just as he opened the door.

"What brings you here?" He asked her, still smiling.

"I went to the balcony you've said, but you weren't there, so I came here." She responded. But in truth, Thellia was just too lazy to stand and wait for him.

"What are you doing?" She asked, glancing at his hand that clutched his ear.

"Ah... you see, I'm having trouble putting it on." He showed the falling dangling steel on his ear.

"You wear earrings?"

"Sometimes." He grins.

"Ah..!" Seeing as it was about to fall off his ear, Thellia reached up to fix it.

"Here..."

After carefully putting the steel earring on him, Thellia looked at Lyle. "You don't know how to put it on?"

'She's very close right now.'  Thought Lyle with a nervous heart. He inhaled Thellia's pleasant scent, who was only a few inches away.

"Of course I know, it's just that my shoulder still hurt that I cannot reach my hand up to do it as neatly."

"What about the other pair?" After locking the earring, Thellia opened her hand in front of Lyle, asking for the other pair of earring.

"Here." Lyle happily placed the other pair on Thellia's palm. Unbeknownst to his own self, Lyle felt strangely happy to let her put the earring on him.
