Three week later
Riley and Madison had started their new job about one week ago. They had moved into a beautiful house with 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. On the main level is the kitchen, living room, Madison and Riley master bedroom, Taylor room, guest bathroom and Madison and Riley office. Then on the second level is the game room, Andre room, the twins rooms, Sabrina master bedroom, guest bathroom, the lounge for the kids and Andre and the twins bathroom.
Present time
Midnight
Riley bolted out of bed for who knows how many time in the last three weeks, gasping for air as her chest aching from the forceful heartbeat in the aftermath of the terrible dream. Knowing that she would not be able to sleep she decide to go in the living room and watch TV because she did not want to wake up Madison, hopefully it will keep her mind busy so it wouldn't travel back to that horrible dream.
After a few minutes a familiar pressure was building deep within her chest, like something heavy that was placed on her chest, restricting her breathing and squeezing whatever air she had left out of her lungs.
A few seconds later Madison woke up surprised not to see Riley in bed so she got up and walked into the living room where she found Riley sitting on the couch having a panic attack. She slowly walked over to Riley careful not to scare her.
As soon as Riley realized that it was Madison and not a threat, she wrapped her arms around Madison's waist and slumped forward, crying hysterically.
"It's okay. Call you tell me why you are so upset, Honey?" Madison asked
"I woke up from a bad dream of my father." Riley said
"Oh, sweetheart! It was just a bad dream, a very bad dream. You're safe now and he can't hurt you anymore. You're safe, sweetheart, you're safe." Madison said
"I think we should get you tucked into bed. You're absolutely freezing baby girl." Madison said
"Okay." Riley said as she got up.
They walked into the bedroom and Madison tucked Riley into bed. Then she climbed into bed next to Riley and wrapped her arm around Riley.
Riley just cuddled closer to Madison.
"I don't want to go to sleep." Riley whimpered.
"I know it's scary but he can't hurt you anymore. I'm gonna be right here next to you the whole time and if you have a bad dream then i'll be here, holding you and guiding you through it, my dear. I'll keep you safe." Madison said
With that Riley fell asleep, warm and safe in arms of the one person who meant the most to her.
