Amber household

Everyone was in the playroom playing with James, Weston went to work, so it was just James, Amber and Riley there. All of a sudden Riley's phone started ringing.

"Hey what up Madison?" Riley asked

"Nothing just checking in. How is everything there?" Madison asked.

"Everything is going great. What's going on Madison?" Riley asked

"Nothing, it's just I'm over at JJ and Emily's house. Sophia called me early today saying that Emily had a nightmare or something and locked herself in the bathroom. So I rushed over here. To find out that both of them are sick." Madison said

"Okay so is Emily okay?" Riley asked

"Well she is sleeping right now." Madison said

"Okay, I think you should call JJ." Riley said

"Why?" Madison asked

"Because JJ would want to know when Emily has a nightmare." Riley said

"Yeah, but Emily dont want me to call JJ." Madison said

"Then you are on your own then." Riley said

"That is a great way to help." Madison said

"I'm sorry if i didn't help, but you should call JJ." Riley said

"Okay, I get to go." Madison said

"Okay bye." Riley said as she hung up the phone.

"What was that about?" Amber asked

"She was just checking in and to tell me that Emily had a nightmare." Riley said

"Oh." Amber said

Jareau-Prentiss household

Madison was sitting on the couch waiting for Emily to wake up, when she heard the front door open. She was surprised to see JJ walk into the house.

"Oh hey Madison what are you doing here?" JJ asked

"Emily had a nightmare so Sophia called me because she couldn't get Emily to come out of the bathroom. Now they both are sleeping. That was a quick case." Madison said

"Yeah it was." JJ said

"I should get going." Madison said

"Okay." JJ said

"Oh yeah they both are Sick." Madison said as she stopped at the front door.

"Thanks for telling me." JJ said as she watched as Madison walked out of the house.

One hour later

Emily woke up covered in sweat, heart hammering out of control, a wave of nausea overcoming her. She claps her hand over her mouth, rushing from the room and collapsing in front the toilet, vomiting several times in quick succession. She reaches out to try to push the door gently closed, not wanting to alert Madison to the situation.

By the time she is done being sick, the sweat that had been coating her upon awakening has soaked entirely through her clothes and they are clinging to her, wet and uncomfortable. She gets unsteadily to her feet to peel them off, tossing them to the floor, and reaching in to turn on the shower.

Once she is in the bathtub, she stands under the cool spray of water, a sudden sob bubbling up in her throat.

When she is done showering, she steps out of the tub and wraps a towel around herself. She pushes the bathroom door open as quietly as she can and creeps out into the dim hallway and walks into her room. She was surprised to see JJ.

"Hi." Emily said

"Hey." JJ said

"What are you doing here? I thought you were working a case?" Emily asked

"We were but the case was really easy. So what have you been up to? JJ asked

"Nothing, just been sleeping that all." Emily said. JJ knew that Emily would lie to her.

"You know that I know you are lying to me right?" JJ asked looking at Eyes.

"What do you want to say JJ?" Emily asked

"I want you to tell me what happens." JJ said

"There's nothing to say. It was just a nightmare." Emily said

"Yeah a nightmare that made Sophia to call Madison from work to come over here." JJ said

"Emily please tell me what happens, please." JJ said

"I had a nightmare and by accident I hit Sophia." Emily said

"What was the nightmare about?" JJ asked

Emily avoided JJ eye contact. With that JJ knew what Emily's nightmare was about.

"Don't give me that look." Emily said

"Emily I'm worried about. And what happened a few days ago was hard on everyone." JJ said

"I know. What happened a few days ago triggered those nightmares and flashbacks of what happened with Doyle. Okay." Emily said as she walked out of the bedroom.

"Emily, are we going to talk about this?" JJ asked as she follow Emily to the living room.

"Nope." Emily said

"Don't you have to pick up the twins from school?" Emily asked

"Yes I do." JJ said

"Then you should get going then." Emily said

JJ just looked at Emily before she walked out of the door.
