Tuesday night

 I sat at the table with my palms sweating tonight was the night... 

I had to tell her the truth even though I couldn't bare to break her and the kids hearts I had to...

We weren't meant to be together we've never even slept together 

Autumn was perfect in every way it's just complicated...

Tuesday night

I sat at the table with my hands shaking uncontrollably I had to tell him tonight... Tonight was the night 

I loved Kareem so much but I wasn't love with him I couldn't sit here and lie to him any longer I just couldn't bare to break his heart... 

"Are you ready honey?" I yelled from in the kitchen I watched him squirm around in his chair nervously I furrowed my eyebrows he was sweating it wasn't even hot he was nervous about something and it looked like I was about to find out... 

I snapped my fingers at him because he dazed off

"Are you ready honey?" Autumn yelled from in the kitchen 

"Y-yeah I'm ready hun" I flashed a fake smile 

She brought out a big cake that said "Congratulations you are now Chief of police!" tears immediately fell 

"B-baby what's wrong?" She said sitting the cake down on the table in front of me

"Kids go upstairs I'll call you when dinner is ready" She said she turned back to me 

"What's wrong?"  She looked at me with concern 

"A-autumn I can't do this anymore" I told her truthfully 

"What are you saying Kareem" She said with tears in her eyes I grabbed her hands 

"I need you to listen to what I'm about to tell you I know you might hate me wanna kill me or all of the above you're entitled to your feelings all of them" I sighed 

"Take a seat honey" I advised her

"N-no I don't want to what's going on?"  She asked me wiping her tears 

"I haven't been faithful to you" I said beating around the bush she looked taken back 

"W-what are you saying Kareem just spit it out" She spat

"I cheated on you with another woman Autumn and now she's pregnant-" 

"Do you love her?" She cut me off 

"Yes I do-" she bursted into tears and hugged me I cried also 

"A-autumn I'm so sorry-" She kissed my forehead 

"We weren't happy with each other I'm just glad you found it with someone else honey I love you but we're just not meant to be" She said wiping her tears 

"I have something to tell you also.." She looked down I lifted her chin and tears fell down her beautiful face... God this woman was so perfect but she was in love with someone else I could see it in her eyes but so was I... We were so perfect on the outside but our souls couldn't connect like me and Micah's could 

"There's someone else..." She said and I looked at her as she stood there playing with her fingers 

"And I love him so much we're like soul mates" Her eyes connected with mine I could tell whoever she was speaking of she truly was in love with him...
