Hinahanap - Hanap Ko Siya

Chapter 7

Flashback TVOP S1:

Naghahalong kaba, onting takot at syempre, lubos na kasiyahan ang nararamdaman ni Sarah nung magsimula na silang magtaping ng blind audition for TVOP S1. She didn't want to expect anything from the outcome of the blinds, but she was hoping to complete a great set of up coming artists for her team. She had prepared for this day and she vowed to give it her best.

Bamboo was equally excited. He could hardly wait to be a coach and best of all, he'll be working closely with Sarah than ever before. More closer perhaps, since they share Asap with so many other artists, they hardly have opportunities to bond when they were with other companies, not unless they got a prod number of their own. And so they made up for those times by going out together after rehearsals or the show.

Kapansin pansin ang closeness ng dalawa, kung kaya't Pancho inquired Bamboo about their relationship status.

"Ha? Anung relationship pagsasasabi mo diyan, dude?", bulol na tagalog ang sagot niya kase na - caught off guard si Bamboo sa tanong ni Pancho sa kaniya.

"Ikaw pare, wag moko pinaglololoko", Pancho answered him. "Kilala kita mula ulo hanggang paa."

"Eh, waddayah wame to say?", Bamboo asked.

Tinitgan siya ng seryoso ni Panch. "Yung totoo."

"Anu? We're friends, man!", sagot naman nito. "And don't gemme wrong, you know am not into that showbiz kinda stuff, so when I say we're friends, thaz all there iz to it. Juz friends!"

Pinagmamasdan parin siya ni Pancho na walang ka trace - trace ng smile sa mukha. Aware si Pancho sa pagkakadivorce ng alaga / kaibigan sa asawa, and though alam niyang genuin naman ang pagkakaibigan nito kay Sarah, alam naman din niyang hindi pa ito ready for another commitment, at least during those days. And hindi niya gustong makitang umasa ang dalaga dito, since napalapit narin ang loob niya rito.

"Dude, you gotta stop staring at me", Bamboo said, chuckling. "I ain't lying. You know me."

"Yeah, I know you", sagot ni Pancho, "kilala ko rin si Sarah."

"So whachyu problem, man?", tanong muli ni Bamboo.

Nagdahan - dahan ng pananalita si Pancho bago nakasagot. "Sana lang. Sana lang hindi kayo masaktan sa bandang huli, Bamboo. Kase kung isang laro lang to sayo, you know, you can fall hard in your own trap, and vice versa, nang hindi niyo sinasadya."

"Woah, hold your horses, dude", sambit ni Bamboo. "Who's falling for whom?"

"Ayoko lang na masaktan kayo pareho sa huli", Pancho sighed. "Kaya sana hanggat maaari maging maingat kayo sa nararamdaman niyo sa isa't isa."

He left Bamboo staring at his retreating back, who remained seated on his chair in his dressing room. He shook his head, as if clearing some thoughts. Then he glanced at his left fist. His gold band shimmered under the yellow light of the vanity mirror. He ran his right index finger across it, deep in his thoughts.

He was just enjoying the moment. He enjoys Sarah's company. She was by far his closest female friend in this busines. What's wrong with that? He knows she enjoys his company as well. Or else she wouldn't be spending so much time with him even when they were in not front of a camera.

Sure, he didn't have plans of taking their relationship to the next level. He was quite enjoying what they share at the moment. He wasn't ready for another commitmet and he knows she wasn't, too. They were just content with their new found friendship. Especially now that Sarah's parents were able to trust him whenever he asked for their permission if he could take her out. They never suspected him or doubted his sincerity and good intentions, so he just wanna keep it that way, at that moment.
