Hinahanap - Hanap Ko Siya

Chapter 6

Flashback year 2013:

Sarah Geronimo was welcomed back in Asap, earlier in that year. Something that Bamboo was looking forward to since he learned of the good news. He was thankful to be a part of Sarah's finale episode in her own show, Sarah G Live, wherein they sang yet another rendition of Iris. From then on, he was excited with the possibility of a duet with her every Sunday in Asap. He was even more ecstatic upon being offered to be a coach in the country's version of The Voice, alongside Sarah, Lea Salonga and Apl de ap.

Not only will he be part of a prestigious show, and a chance to mentor up coming artists, but he would also be able to spend more time with Sarah, get to know her more. He really didn't know why, but he'd grown fond of her. There's this anticipation within him everytime he'd be doing a project with her. And he was enjoying the feeling.

Ofcourse the show was pre - taped with the blind auditions segment, before it goes live on screen with the competition, just like in any editions of the said show.

The four coaches had a get - together dinner for the first time to warm things up before taping the blind auditions so they can have time to bond with each other, first.

Lea, Apl and himself, Bamboo, almost arrived at the same time at the dinner held by the producers and director of the show. Sarah arrived a little later after them. She made her way on a table set up for four people, where the other three coaches were already seated. She first approached Lea, who was seated with her back to Sarah, "Miss Lea, good evening, po." And Lea stood up and turned around to face Sarah with welcoming arms and a huge smile, "Bebe, finally! Magkakatrabaho narin tayo!" And they hugged.

"Onga po, eh", Sarah beamed. "Excited napo ko talaga!"

Then Sarah moved to Lea's left side, where Apl was seated. Apl stood up to greet her, "Hi Sarah."

"Hello Apl!", she kissed his cheek.

She went to Apl's left to greet Bamboo who also stood up. He kissed her cheek first, murming "Hey, I've missed you", in her right ear, while his left arm encircled her waist. He thought she looked very pretty that night, in a floral dress with her long hair in curls and swept up to one side.

Sarah blushed a little. "Hello po, sir Bamboo", was all she said before taking her seat beside him on the left.

During the course of their dinner, the four coaches had the opportunity to break the ice and warm up to each other. They were able to get to know each other more and even disscussed anything under the sun.

That dinner was followed by a grand presscon of the four coaches, a little after a week, where the media people got the chance to ask them questions.

Sarah stated at one point that she was actually unsure of herself upon mentoring up coming artists, before accepting the proposed project.

"Tinanong ko po sila (abs - cbn & the voice managment)", Sarah told the press people, "kung sigurado na nga ba sila na gusto nila ako mapabilang sa coaches ng programa", natatawa niyang ibinahagi. "Eh na - convince naman po nila ako, hahaha, na kayang kaya ko daw po ito gampanan, kung kaya't tinanggap ko narin po alok nila sakin", nakangiti niyang pagtatapos.

Bamboo was mentally shaking his head that time, while listening to Sarah. How could she doubt herself? She's by far the best female singer he has encountered, according to his book. So he's really amazed by this young woman's humility.

Both of them were given the opportunity to promote The Voice Ph on Asap, since they're both regulars, and they were to sing Just Give Me A Reason, a song that was really very popular during those days.

"Sir Bamboo, never ko po pa ito nakanta", Sarah mentioned to him on the day of their rehearsal, "medyo na - o - off key pa po ako sa simula nito, pagpasensyahan nyo po sana."
