TW: Torture (human experiments)

A town outside of Jaroslavl, Russia

The room was dark. The only light source was a bright light right above her which looked like the type of lamps, dentists used. This one, however, had nothing to do with a dentist. It was humming with electricity and flickered in an unnerving way.

Yara was lying on an examination table. Her arms, legs, head, and chest were tied down to keep her still. Transparent little tubes ran out of her body in various places, mainly her arms. The tubes were currently empty. Clamps were stopping her blood from running into them.

Yara was alone in the room, except for a middle-aged man with blonde hair who was busy doing something at a desk somewhere in the darkness. All, Yara could see of him from her table, was his white coat.

Panic crept up her chest and tightened her throat. She felt like she was being choked and desperately tried to breathe.

Suddenly, a heavy steel door opened loudly and a group of men in brown uniforms walked in. They gathered around Yara and were talking in a language, Yara didn't understand. She pushed her panic down, refusing to show any sign of weakness in front of them.

The man in the white lab coat joined the group a few moments later and had a quick conversation with the other men before he went to check the tubes one last time.

While he was busy, one of the men, who looked like he had the most authority in the room, spoke up in English with a strong German accent, "Don't worry, girl. You will probably be dead before the pain really starts." He smirked maliciously and looked Yara up and down. "Just lay back and relax." A terrible grin made its way onto his face. He looked at the scientist who had finished checking the tubes and was waiting next to the examination table. The man in the white coat was holding a device in his hand that had a big button in the middle of it and a cable connecting it to somewhere else. Yara couldn't see where the cable ended.

The man who had spoken earlier, gave the scientist a nod, signaling him to begin with whatever they were going to do. The scientist reacted by pushing the button in his hand, which turned a machine on that was out of Yara's sight. A black liquid got pumped into the tubes and quickly filled them. The man in the white coat then released the clamps that had been blocking Yara's blood.

At this point, Yara couldn't help but watch the liquid run through the tubes and reach her body, in terror and fear. She had given up on trying to look strong and fearless. Instead, her whole body twitched while she tried to free herself from the straps that were holding her in place.

Moments after the liquid had entered her bloodstream, she started to feel heat rising throughout her body. It started with a slight tingle and quickly grew to a point where she felt like she was being burnt alive. Her body was shaking and she knew that she was screaming, even though she couldn't hear herself. All she was able to register was the pain. It was unbearable and yet, it somehow managed to get worse with every passing second.

Yara shot up and hectically took a look around. With a sigh of relief, she recognized the bed underneath her as the same one she had gone to bed in a few hours ago. Yara was covered in a cold sweat. She got up quickly and tried to find her way to the bathroom through the dark room. Once she had found it, she turned the light on and dragged her feet over to the sink. There, she turned the water on and splashed ice-cold water on her face. She gripped the sink tightly in her hands and leaned on it, letting her head hang. She stayed like that for a few minutes, not moving and trying to get the nightmare out of her head.

Yara finally gave up and decided to go outside and get some fresh air to clear her head. She turned the water off and dried her face off with a towel before she turned the light off and left the bathroom. She found her coat quickly, put on her boots, and left her room, grabbing her keys on her way out. She quietly made her way through the dark hallway and finally reached the building's front door.
