Moscow, Russia

Yara was sitting at a table in a dark corner of the decently busy bar. The air smelled of alcohol and Russian music was playing through the speakers. People, mostly men, were sitting at tables alone or were having conversations, some of which were very animated. Yara's eyes drifted around the room, taking in every detail that may be important at some other time. Without looking down, she picked up the glass that was standing in front of her and took a sip of her beer.

She was looking for someone specific. Someone who may have some new information on a cure. This was a long shot, but this was the only lead that was left.

Yara continued looking around. She didn't like waiting and was beginning to get impatient. Just then, the front door opened and a group of four men walked in. Two were having a conversation while the other two were following behind them. Yara couldn't hear what they were saying but she didn't care about that anyway. This was who she had been waiting for: Mark Gorky. He was one of the two men at the front of the group.

Yara waited for him to take a seat at a table that seemed to be reserved for him and his company. The two men in the back were his bodyguards and positioned themselves behind Gorky. While Yara was waiting, she took another sip of her drink. A sense of anxiety spread through her, but she did her best to push it back again. She needed to keep a cool and level head.

After a few more minutes went by and the men looked like they had gotten comfortable, she got up and strode towards Gorky. As she was getting closer, she caught the attention of the two bodyguards. One of them moved to block her way while the other kept his eyes on the rest of the room. Before Yara could say anything, the bodyguard who had continued to watch the room suddenly stepped towards Gorky and whispered something in his ear. A moment later, the lights turned off and plunged the whole room into darkness. Yara's eyes hadn't adjusted to the lack of light yet when she heard the faint sound of a door closing. Then, chaos broke loose. The sound of several people moving hastily and fighting filled the room. Yara felt something move in front of her and stepped backward just in time, before something, probably a fist, landed right where her head had been not even a second ago.

Great. Why can't these things ever go smoothly? There was no time to complain. At least these idiots weren't trying to shoot around in the dark.

Something hit Yara's leg which made her legs nudge and drop to her knees. One of the bodyguards had kicked her. The silhouette of a tall man stepped toward her. She moved backward and got up quickly.

"Alright, if a fight is what you want, then that's what you shall get." Without wasting another second, Yara hit him in his stomach with her knee which was directly followed by an elbow to his head when he bent over. He went down immediately and didn't look like he would get back up any time soon.

Yara stepped over him and walked over to where she had seen Gorky last. He wasn't there anymore. Neither was the other bodyguard. She took a look around the room and saw a few people fighting in the middle of it. Two silhouettes were moving towards a door. Yara followed them out of the building where she barked out Gorky's name. He turned around and faced the woman.

"Кто ты?", he wanted to know who Yara was.

"Неважно. Но у меня есть несколько вопросов", Yara told him that her identity wasn't important and that she had a few questions.

Gorky silently gave his bodyguard a signal, presumably to take out Yara, while the brunette walked closer to them. Before she reached them, a door closed loudly behind her, causing her to glance back over her shoulder. The figure of a person in a mostly black suit was running towards them. The head was covered by a wide hood which made it difficult to see the face underneath it but Yara could still make out the bottom part of a mask that was covering the person's face.
