Oświęcim, Poland
Considering the fact that Natasha was a spy above everything else, it made sense that her plan did not involve a direct confrontation with the enemy. Instead, it was based on stealth and trickery.
Yara was pressed to a tree. She was sticking her head out from behind it to catch a glimpse of the area on the other side of the thick tree trunk. There was a fence not far away from her that was blocking her way to several old buildings. One of them was the same one that she had escaped from just a few days ago.
Yara checked the area for people and was satisfied when she couldn't see any. It would make her job a little easier. She took a deep breath before she moved away from the tree and silently made her way over to a spot in the fence where there was a gap between the ground and the metal mesh. Yara laid down and crawled through the hole as quickly as she could, although it still took her more time than she liked. Her back hurt in a few places where sharp metal rods from the fence pierced her skin through her shirt.
Yara got back up on her feet and sprinted to the closest wall she could find while keeping an eye on cameras and staying out of sight. There, she moves along the wall until she reached a corner. Once she was sure that she was good to move without being seen and getting caught, she leaped forward to the next wall.
Eventually, she made her way to the building that she had been trying to reach. Yara looked around one more time. Then she slowly opened the door and stuck her head inside to check out the hallway that was located behind her door. She snuck in a moment later and made her way to the first room she could find. It was empty. Yara used the opportunity to let Natasha know that she had made it into the building. Luckily, the quinjet was equipped with some basic equipment including a set of earpieces.
Yara moved on to the next room. She was surprised that she still hadn't seen anyone and was beginning to wonder if this was a trap.
This next room was empty too. Yara was seriously feeling like something was off.
She worked her way towards the end of the hallway, checking out every room on the way, but they were all empty.
Yara finally reached the last door and tried to push down the handle but it didn't move. She put more pressure on it, but it still wouldn't budge.
Suddenly, a booming voice spoke up loudly.
"Welcome back, 131565!"
It seemed to be everywhere. Yara tried to find the source and quickly figured out that it came from a set of speakers.
"Missed me?"
Yara could hear the door in front of her being unlocked. All she could do was watch as the door opened to reveal Griebel standing in the doorway with a cruel smirk.
"Thought you could take us down all by yourself, hm?"
He chuckled, obviously being entertained by that thought.
"Na dann, hereinspaziert in die gute Stube", he offered her to enter the room.
She hesitated. Griebel was toying with her and she knew that. She didn't want to give in to his games, but at the same time, even though he had worded his request as an offer, she knew that it was in fact an order.
Griebel was getting impatient so he pulled out a gun from behind him and grinned at her, looking very pleased with himself.
Yara surrendered, knowing that she would end up exactly where Griebel wanted her either way. Her shoulders slumped down in resignation as she took a few steps forward, passing the man on her way. She heard the door being shut and locked behind her.
