Things have seemed to change a lot more than usual. I no longer live with Connor but we still talk all the time. He takes me into town all the time to get new things and we have a great friendship as well. He's tried to teach me all about pack life but my brain tends to wonder to different things. Now you might be wondering where I live now that I no longer stay with Connor. Well I'm happy to say I live with Olivia. She has helped me so much since we met that day at the pack house. She apparently has a thing for Beta Luke and he seems to have a little interest in her too. When Connor and I go into town we usually bring Olivia and Luke with us to keep an eye on things around us. As of right now Connor and Luke are off fighting a war in Nebraska. Somehow there was a rise of rouge wolves with a leader ready to take down the Nebraska pack. Olivia and I sat in her room looking at all the new clothes Connor had bought for me before he and Luke left.

"You know, before you came here Alpha Connor never asked anyone to house sit for him. Girl, I think he likes you." Olivia teased me with a childish smirk on her face. I laughed nudging her a little. "I'm sure he's asked before and you just didn't know about it. He thinks of me as just a friend. I wouldn't want people to get the wrong idea." I told her truthfully. "By wrong people do you mean Lola and her evil minions, right?" She asked making me burst into laughter. "You know that's exactly who I'm talking about. That girl would kill me just to sleep with Connor. If only she knew he only likes me as a friend." Olivia looked at me like I was crazy. "So you don't think he has any kind of lust for you at all? I think he wants you in his bed more than I want Luke in mine." Again she makes me laugh with her words. "That man may be fine as hell and that helps with the tempting but I don't want the pressures of being the Alpha's mate on my uneducated shoulders. No dick is worth the responsibilities of a whole pack. My brain would explode from all the stress." I told her honestly. She was completely wrong about what I wanted.

Maybe I did want Connor but he has to much at risk for me to just be with him like that. "So you wouldn't let him hit it at all, not even once?" She asked in shock. "He might be one of the hotties men I have ever met but again no dick is worth that much responsibility. Yeah he's hot and sweet and all that good stuff but I need more than looks and charm to fall into bed with someone. I don't even have my wolf yet. I want to wait to see what she says before I just jump into bed with the first man that gives me the slightest bit of attention." She nodded at my words. "I see what you mean. You want to wait, save your new self for your mate. Like a new start in the bed, right?" I nodded at her. "Partly. I have a new start here and I don't want to just run around here fucking around with Connor and when he finds his mate and she knows about us she will see me as a threat to her roll in his life. What would happen if Lola was his mate in the near future and I happen to sleep with him? She would have every reason to banish me. All it takes is me making her the slightest bit angry and with the wave of her hand I would never see this pack again." I explained to Olivia.

Once we were fully dressed there was a loud horn that sounded off and Olivia jumped up with excitement. "He's back!" She all but yelled running out the bedroom door with me in tow. We ran to the pack house and stood outside waiting for Connor in all his glory along with Like by his side. Connor nodded at me to come over and I did as he wished. Lola standing across the field watching as he gave me a side hug. "Are you okay?" I asked finally seeing his left arm in a sling. "I'm fine. I just need to sleep it off. We can talk about it later when you help me to my house." He told me before being pulled away to discuss pack business.

I could never imagine having to fight in a war only to get home and be pulled into a business meeting five minutes after walking onto pack grounds. "I see Alpha Connor has grown a little closer to you than I thought." Lola hissed at me with a sickly sweet smile. "We are just friends, nothing more." I told her truthfully. "I have reason to believe otherwise. He hasn't spared me so much as a glance since you got here." She spoke with so much venom in her voice. "That's not my fault. I only want to be friends with him. As for you, I don't see why our friendship has anything to do with you. Your not his mate and you don't even have your wolf yet. Your only in it for money and a roll in pack business. I'm not even a threat to you." I huffed before walking to a different side of the field only for her to follow me, nipping at my heels.

"Do you happen to have your wolf yet? It could take years for your's to ever show itself to you. I on the other hand, turn seventeen. Soon my wolf should be here to take what is her's." She said following me. "Then good for you. I'm only friends with him. There is no sex, no sexual feelings, or any relationship other than friends. By all means, if he is your mate take him. But if he's not, you can't force him to claim you. He's not even looking for a mate anyways." I told her before marching into the pack house for her to leave me alone.

After hours and hours of talk people slowly started to leave. Children passed out on couches or whining to get home made me miss my little brother. "We need to talk." I looked up hearing the voice of Connor. I nodded my head as we dismissed ourselves and made the walk to his house through the clearing. I was nervous nonetheless as one foot fell in front of the other. Pulling myself closer and closer to Connor's house my mind went to many different conversations we could be having or things we might be doing. I was confused to say the least.
