Jamie
Tomorrow is the mating ritual and I am so not ready. Connor pulled me out of his bed and basically threw me in the shower before stepping in himself. Water beaded down his front and I was trying hard to keep my eyes from looking at anything but his face. "I get that it's our last bit of time together but I don't want you to think about it. We are going to take this shower together and after we're done, we're going to get dressed and you're going to get a surprise." He said with a smirk playing on his lips.
After we were finished getting dressed we both went to go get in the car. We were riding down the dirt road to make our way out of pack grounds when I seen Olivia and Luke walking. "Can we stop for a second? I want to talk to Olivia really quick." I spoke up, he nodded pulling over and letting me out. "Where are you two going?" She asked with a little excitement in her tone. "I have no idea. He just told me to get dressed and as soon as we were done we got in the car. I highly doubt he would tell me if I asked him." I told her.
Luke came up beside us with a cheeky smirk on his face, making me suspicious of him. "You know what it is, don't you?" I spoke more as a statement than a question. "I do. And no, I refuse to tell you." I huffed crossing my arms and making a pouting face at his words. "No one likes a pouter Jamie!" Connor yelled out the car window, making me stomp my foot. "Well, I'm going to go before he changes his mind. I'll talk to you guys later." I told them before pulling Olivia to the side. "I'll give you all the details as soon as I get back." I whispered in her ear before smiling and going back to get in the car with Connor.
"Are you ready now?" He asked looking at me from the drivers seat. "Yeah, let's go before we are seen together flirting." I giggled, making him roll his eyes and driving off towards the pack gates. After we made it out of the pack grounds we took a right and went into town. "So where are we going?" I asked bouncing in my seat a little. "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you where we were going, now would it?" He asked making me huff again like a baby. "You better stop pouting or I'll turn the car around and we can spend our time with the elders." He said with a playful attitude.
The drive took so long and I was beyond ready to get out of the car and stretch my legs. We slowly pulled into a long driveway and parked the car. He was fast to jump out of the car and run around to open my door. I reached up grabbing his hand and let him help me, he never took his hand from mine so I guess that means he didn't plan on letting go. We got to the front door of this big house and knocked, waiting for someone to come open it. Connor was tapping his foot on the concrete and after a long while he huffed in irritation. As soon as that huff left his mouth the door swung open and there stood an older looking woman.
"Oh my sweet boy!" The little woman said grabbing Connor and pulling him into a hug. He howled with excitement hugging the little lady back. A few seconds later he pulled away and grabbed my hand pulling me closer to the two of them. "Kiana this is my friend Jamie. Jamie, this is my Aunt Kiana, from my mother's side." He told me whispering the last part in my ear. "Such a beautiful girl. Connory why have you kept her from me?" Kiana said making me burst into laughter. Connor's eyes got big and his face turned crimson red.
I turned to look at Connor but he turned his face away from me in the blink of an eye. "Connoryyyyyyy." I said making Kiana laugh as well. "Come inside, come inside. You have to tell me all about this little friend of yours Connory." She said pulling us inside the house. She took us into her living room and telling us to sit down while she went to get us tea. "You really brought me here to meet your Aunt? I thought your family had passed on." I was beyond confused but really happy that he brought me here.
"She is the last of my blood line, well besides myself. I wanted you to meet her because you are important to me." He said with a little smile playing on his lips. Kiana came back into the room with a little tray with cups, a tea pot, and sugar cubes. She poured the tea in the cups and passed them to us. I grabbed two cubes of sugar mixing them into the tea. "So tell me all about yourself Miss. Jamie." Kiana said with a little smile. I took a sip of my tea, I've never had tea like this before, it was amazing.
I told her all about my life before the man killed my family, she seemed to love hearing all about my little brother. "You'll have to bring him around some time. I bet he would love to run and play in my yard." She said with a little excitement making me frown slightly. "I wish I could but, he's no longer with us. Before I met Connor, a man came into our house and took their lives in cold blood. I tried to stop him but my mom gave herself up so I could get away with my life. I ran for three days until I met a woman running a flower stand." She smiled at the talk of Gloria. "Gloria, she was always so kind and quick to help those who truly needed it." Kiana said in a dreamlike state of thinking.
"She got me food and cleaned me up then brought me to your nephew. If it wasn't for those two, I wouldn't know what I would have done. I probably would have been tracked down and killed by that man or if he didn't kill me the starvation would've." I said with so much gratitude for the two people that saved my life.
