Chapter 18

Connor

I was now standing in the hallway leading to my office with my guards and Beta Luke. "The threat was real but not from Miss. Smith. I want everyone to go find Delta Josh and bring him to me. Bind him and gag him, do not listen to his words. He is lying scum and wishes to kill your Alpha for his own gain, bring him to me alive and we will hold court as soon as he is bound. Luke, go get the girls from Olivia's house and bring them back here. As soon as they get here, keep them in this room and do not leave them under any circumstances. I am going to get the elders for the trial of Delta Josh. GO NOW!" I demanded and everyone was quick to follow orders.

I walked from the pack house to the elder's house to find them all. Knocking on the door a guard opened it and let me through to find all the elder's eating their lunch. "How may we help you today Alpha Connor?" Olivia's Uncle asked standing up from the table. "We are about to open a court trial and I need the elder's to back me on the verdict. Please, get dressed in your finest clothes and come to the pack house for trial. We will start as soon as the convicted is aprehended." I told them all. They excused themselves to go get ready and I made my way back to my office.

Jamie

Olivia and I were brought into Connor's office by Luke and we sat waiting for Connor to come back. The teacher seemed to be so jumppy every time someone made any noise or movement that was a little too fast. The door to the office burst open and Connor quickly walked in grabbing the note that the teacher had asked me to bring him and her written statement. "Court is about to start. Luke, take the girls to get their nice clothes on. I already have the clothes waiting in the next room, please hurry and don't leave that room unatteneded. Josh has been placed in the holding cell until the trial is ready to start. Go now." Connor said making us jump into action.

We did as we were told as fast as possible. Olivia was wearing a light green dress with nude pumps, the teacher wore her niceset dress pants with a light gray vest and white button up underneath. I on the other hand was wearing a white sundress with blue pumps. Olivia put her hair in a high ponytail, once she was done with herself she turned to me with a smile. "Come sit down, I need to fix your hair before you go in front of the elders." I nodded at her going to sit in a chair while she fixed me up. My hair had micro braids and large braides like the vikings once did.

"Now we all look trustworthy. Luke, we're ready!" Olivia yelled and the door opened before he stepped in and took us to the court room. The elders sat in the room watching as we all piled into the room with the rest of the pack. Connor sat in the middle of a big table with papers in front of him and the elders on either side of him. "Ladies, please take a seat on the left side of the pack in the front. Once you are called by Connor you will stand up and sit in that chair in front of Connor and the elders. Answer any questions you are asked. Do not speak unless you are spoken to, do not talk to one another, and try to keep your eyes on the Alpha and the elders." Luke said before he went to speak with Connor.

I sat between Olivia and the teacher waiting for the trail to start. After a few minutes Luke and a few other guards dragged Delta Josh into the room and sat him in a chair to the right of Connor and the elders, cuffing him to the chair and pulling the gag tighter in his mouth. "We are gathered here this afternoon for the trial of Delta Josh Masters v.s. The Blue Moon Pack. All rise for the Alpha, Connor Slaughter and the Elders of The Blue Moon Pack." Luke spoke loudly for the whole pack to hear. Looking around everyone seemed to be in complete shock at the mention of Josh being on trial for something.

"There has been rumors of Mr. Masters planning to kill the Alpha and his new mate on the night of the mating ritual. It wouldn't be an issue if he was to try to challenge Alpha Connor up front but the fact that the rumors of the time and date makes his challenge disgraceful." Luke said with some anger and conviction in his voice. Connor stood up and turned to look at me. "Jamie Beck is here to explain everything to us. Jamie, I am calling you to step forward and take a seat." Connor said before I stood making my way to the chair that Luke told me to sit in once I am called by Connor. "Please state your name and then tell us everything that happened to you today in accurents to this trial." Connor said and I took a deep breath getting a little nervous.

The elder's sat watching me from across the table making my palms sweat and my stomach turn. "My name is Jamie Beck. I was in the office with Alpha Connor and he asked me to study because I am soon to be a wolf myself and I needed to learn every rule and guideline that comes with this new chapter in my life. I was taken to the school by Beta Luke on Alpha Connor's request. There I met Miss. Smith. She gave me all the things I needed to learn for The Blue Moon Pack. Once I was done I took my things and went to find Miss. Smith. There I seen her pressed against her desk pretty much cornered by Delta Josh. She seemed so uncomfortable and when she seen me I could see the releif on her face. She took me to the next room and wrote a note which she asked me not to read, I did not read the not as asked. Then she told me to hide it and don't let anyone stop me from getting it to Alpha Connor and to not be alone with any male from the pack because she didn't know who she or myself could trust. On my way back to the pack house, Olivia stopped me and I asked her to take me to Alpha Connor without anyone seeing. She took me through the woods and brought me to Alpha Connor, as soon as I was in the room with him I handed him the note and he read it." I told them all nervously.

"Is this the note?" Connor asked holding up the little paper for all to see. "Yes it is." I answered and then was asked to take my original seat.
