Jamie

His words rang in my ears like a bell. "What do you mean by that?" I asked looking at him with question in my eyes. "I want you to be friends with me, real friends, like Luke and I. Not like everyone else because they are always trying to get something out of me. They don't want to be real friends with me, they want things from me and they will lie to me to get it or let me hear what I want to hear. I don't want you to be another 'friend' like that. I need a friend that will be honest and tell me everything I need to hear without worrying about pissing me off." I nodded thinking about his words. I guess even an Alpha needs a real friend. "I can be that for you. I wouldn't mind being friends with you at all. I think it would be a good thing for the both of us. I need someone I can really trust besides Olivia and you seem to need someone that is going to do the same for you." He smiled at me lightly. "Good, we can be great friends with a common goal to be honest no matter what we want to hear." He said before looking at me from beside me.

I nodded at him with a little smile. "I think we are going to be the best of friends." I said as I stood from my seat. He did the same before walking over to me slowly. My heart was beating in my chest watching him grow closer and closer to me. My mouth went dry as he stood in front of me and his eyes met mine. I tried so hard to keep calm but it was growing harder and harder with the smell of his colone and his closeness. "Are you okay?" He asked with a concerned look on his face. "Y-yes I'm fine, thank you for asking." I said as he got a few inches closer to me putting his hand on my upper arm. "If you need something please just tell me. I will be here for you no matter what it is." He said with a little sternness in his voice. "I've got a lot on my mind is all. I'll be fine for sure." I told him a little white lie but I knew he would freak if he found out I wanted sex and maybe more. He nodded at me before grabbing both of my shoulders and pulled me into a lighthearted hug.

The smell of him swirled around me and his heartbeat thumped against my chest like a drum set. I could hear the sound of his breathing hitching in his lungs as I squeezed him a little tighter. I hadn't had a real hug from someone who meant it other than Olivia or Gloria, in a really really long time. I felt his arms tighten around me and I knew he was greatful to feel someone else's touch as well. I breathed in a sigh of relive when I felt his lips press against my head I found myself melting into his arms like salt in water. "You can stay here if you want. You don't have to go back to Olivia's if you want to stay with me." He whispered in my hair. I found myself wanting to stay more than wanting to leave. "I want stay but we need to find a way for me to stay without people thinking I'm a whore or I just let you sleep with me for something else." I told him as I pulled myself away from his chest to look up into his eyes. I could see the wheels turning in his head, moving at a million miles an hour.

"I think we can arrange something. How about this, you go pack your things and I'll get this whole thing figured out while you do that. When you are ready I'll come get you and we can move you into your old room. No one will know you are here with me but Olivia. I'll let you know when I think of a status you can hold while your here." He said before letting me go. I nodded walking to his door taking one last look and going back to Olivia's house. As soon as I walked into our room she shot up from her bed looking at me with a googly eyes. "What happened?" She asked with excitement. "Well, how about you help me pack my things and I'll tell you all about it." I told her and she jumped up looking at me like I was crazy. As she helped me throw all my things into bags I told her everything that happened between Connor and I. She was like putty in my hands as the story went on and on. "I can't believe he wants you back at his house! He wants you to be his close personal friend and let me guess, your hoping that one day it will lead to something a little more." She said as we stuffed things in bags left and right. "More like hoping to be close personal friends that are trying to crawl into each other's beds." I giggled a little as she looked at me and bursted out into laughter as well. Yes, it was the truth but I refuse to tell anyone other than Olivia.

As soon as we were done packing my things I texted Connor letting him know I was ready to leave. He seemed to be getting here slower than usual. My heart thumped in my chest as soon as someone knocked on the front door. I yanked the door open and there stood Connor with a little smile on his face. "I might need help with all of my bags." I told him with a little smirk on my face. He was quick to walk into the house and grab my bags before going to shove them in his trunk. As soon as the car was packed Olivia seemed a bit sad realizing I was leaving her but happy at the same time. "I promise we are going to hang out all the time. You're still one of my closest friends here, don't let anyone tell you different. How about we go shopping soon?" I asked and she nodded with a smile. "Jamie, we need to leave. People will see us if we don't leave now." Connor said with a little worry look written on his face. I hugged Olivia and got into the car with Connor driving to his house through the clearing.
