I tried to eat my food as slowly as possible because I have no idea how long it will be until I get my next meal. "Where did you come from? I've been here for years and I have never seen your beautiful little face around here before. Spill the beans." She tried not to sound nosy about her question by giving me an excuse to ask. I tried not to cry thinking about the things that happened to my family not to long ago. "I'm from North Carolina." I tried to be as vague as possible about my situation. "Can you please tell me how you found our little town of South Haven, Michigan?" She asked with a worried face. HOW THE HELL DID I MAKE IT TO MICHIGAN IN THAT AMOUNT OF TIME! I must have been running so damn fast that I didn't even realize it until she told me where the hell I really was.

"I ran." I told her. She looked at me like I was insane. "Oh my poor child, you must be so tired and hungry. Please order as much food and drink as you need. We can talk after you've actually gotten some food in there." She smiled pointing to my stomach before waving over a waiter to get me more food and drink. I stuffed my face with so much warm food it was unreal. Gloria seemed to be so calm and happy watching me eat for the first time in days. After all my food was gone Gloria and I went back to her roses and sat down. She scooted over to me and grabbed my hand getting my attention. "Please tell me what happened to you?" she begged more than asked me. Tears filled my eyes thinking about what actually happened to me. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I spoke trying to hide my tears from her. "Trust me, I will believe you. There isn't anything you can say that I won't believe. I'm a realistic person but I know that everything is not as it seems." she spoke with a light smile.

I sighed thinking about how I am just going to tell this woman what happened to my whole family. Tears ran down my cheeks as I told her everything that actually happened to me. She looked as though she was going to cry hearing my story. "You need to come with me. I know someone that can actually help you. He's a good man and he has a place you can stay and make sure you have food." She said as I looked at her with a thoughtful look on my face. "As soon as I get done here with these roses I will take you to him. You can sit right here and relax while I finish out the last two hours." She told me right before an older man with gray hair walked up to her rose stand. He smiled at Gloria and bought some bright red roses then handed them back to her. He kissed the top of her hand and they talked for a while.

Gloria and I laughed as she told me all about her fondness of that older man. His name was George and apparently he had been trying to ask Gloria on a date since her husband had passed away from old age. She told me that she really liked him but she was to scared to actually tell him she wanted to go on a date. It was so cute to watch her drool over George and it was absolutly adorable to see Geroge blushing, studdering, and scratching the back of his neck every time he got nervous. "You should totally ask him on a date. I didn't know your husband but I am sure he wouldn't want you to be lonely. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind you being happy since he is no longer with you." I told her with a little smile. She giggled and lightly patted my leg.

"He may not mind because he's gone but I am not going to 'ask him on a date' as you say. I was raised to wait for the man to ask the woman." She told me making me want to roll my eyes at her. "Gloria, I hate to be the one to tell you this but...... The world is changing and us women are on the rise. We are asking men on dates, making big money, and living our lives to the fulliest. You have to get with the times Gloria, don't let George slip through your fingers just because you were raised to wait for a man to grow some balls." I told her with excitment in my voice. She blushed at me with a little giggle. "I'll think about it but right now we need to get you some help." She said as she stood up and took the last little bit of roses to her appartment to hide away.

We climbed into her little car and took off down the road. I was so nervous as we pulled onto a dirt road. "You know how you told me about the man that looked like a wolf and a man?" She asked with a little worry in her eyes. I nodded for her to continue as the treeline got thicker around us. "Well the man I am taking you to is going to help you. He's going to tell you everything you need to know. He is a little scary looking but don't let looks fool you, he is a big ole softy once he gets to know you. Oh and don't let the girls here run all over you." She said as we pulled up to a metal gate closing off the road.

I got out of the car to open the gate when a man came up and opened it for me. "Tell Gloria we said thank you for bringing you here and that he is in the pack house waiting on the both of you." The man said before I got back in the car. I let her know what the man had said and she nodded driving off into the closed off lands ahead of us. There were people walking around with a weird tattoo on their left lower arm, it looked like shark teeth checkered black and skin colored. There were many houses and kids running around playing and some teens looked a little to happy to see Gloria's car pulling into their little neck of the woods. We passed through a big grassy clearing before a huge house popped up around a corner and then another way down the clearing.

We got out and she brought me into the smaller house. There were men standing everywhere watching my every move like they were waiting to pounce. They all had very strange eye colors and they seemed to be acting like the beast man but far more tamed. We stopped in front of a man with his back to us. I could tell he was as fit as they come without looking grossly muscular. His hair was a dark brown at the root and blonde in the middle to the ends, tattoos roamed up both of his arms, and his fingers were decorated with big gody rings. He was dressed in tight dark jeans, a gray button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a pair of dress shoes. As he turned around his face was bearded and it looked messily tamed like his hair. His eyes were this milky white color, his nose was just the right size, and his eyebrows had a slit in each one that no hair grew making him look mean as hell.

"Gloria, it's great to see you. How have you been?" He asked with a deep gravely voice. Yep I have a crush and I don't even know his name yet. "Connor, I'm doing great thank you for asking. How are you and the pack?" She asked with a smile. Pack? He walked over to her with a big smile and kissed her cheek like a son would his mother. "We're great." He spoke before turning to look at me. As soon as his milky white eyes landed on mine I felt like my stomach had fell out of my asshole. "Who have you brought me Gloria?" He said aloud before turning back to her. "Connor, she has seen something I feel like you should hear. Please listen to her story, I worry for her?" Gloria begged the man. He waved his hand sending the men out of the room. "Please take a seat." He ordered us both and we did.
