Chapter 19

Jamie

The trial had been stopped for a few minutes to hear what Delta Josh had to say which was blatent lies. "Alpha Connor, I would never plot against you. I am loyal to you and this is outragous. Two little girls and a school teachers are plotting together to take me down for some odd reason and you would believe them?" Josh asked like it was the most stupid thing to convict someone of his stature with. "That's enough Mr. Masters please take your seat and remain quiet so we can continue." Connor said with rage in his voice. "I'm being wrongly accused by two little girls and a teach." Josh was stopped by a gag being shoved down his throat again and the trail continued. "Olivia please come to the stand." Connor said and Olivia did as she was told taking her seat in front of Connor and the rest of the elders. "State your name and were you come into play in all of this." Connor ordered and Olivia did just that.

"My name is Olivia Black. I had been walking near the school when I seen Jamie in a rush to get somewhere and I called stopping her. She seemed to be so scared and I was willing to help her with whatever she needed. She asked me to take her to Alpha Connor without anyone knowing or seeing us. I took her through the woods and we crossed the creek behind the pack house and we made it there unseen. Once we got there we were taken to Alpha Connor's office by Beta Luke, there she pulled out the note and he read it. Once he did we were told to go pack Jamie's things to act like nothing was wrong and so Delta Josh didn't know we were apart of this." Olivia told them everything and I was getting a little nervous by the time Olivia had finished her statement.

Connor seemed to be as angry as ever while the trial took place. Olivia was asked a few more questions before she took her place beside me and the teacher was called to make her statement. "He strolled into my office and decided I was so litte in stature that he could tell me his plans and no one would believe me. He was bragging about how he was going to kill Alpha Connor and his mate on the night of the mating ritual. He said he didn't want a fair fight because he knew he couldn't take Alpha Connor down with just his wolf alone. He planned to take his mate first leaving Alpha Connor weak, that's why he wanted to wait til the mating ritual." Miss. Smith told everyone in the room.

"I have the written statement right here. Is this your signature with what you just told us on it?" Connor asked showing her and everyone else the paper with her writing on it. "Yes it is." She said with a head nod. "Is this the man that told you of this plan to kill my mate and myself?" Connor asked her pointing to Delta Josh. Miss. Smith looked over at him and nodded once again. "Yes, that is the man." The teacher spoke. "Thank you, you may be seated." Connor told the teacher and she did as she was told. "Remove the gag." Connor told Luke and he did so.

Connor stood up walking over to Josh and got down to eye level with him. "Are you planning to kill my mate and myself during the mating ritual?" Connor asked boring his milky white eyes into Josh's now black ones. Josh started to hiss and grawl in anger looking at Connor's beautiful eyes. "Yes you bastard. I planned on killing you and your bitch. You will be weak and anyone would be ready to kill you in an instant. Why the hell not me? I could give this pack the leader they deserve, someone who doesn't need a little bitch wolf to help him rule this pack. You are nothing but a weak little MUT!" Josh yelled in rage making everyone gasp with surprise.

I couldn't believe someone thought Connor was a weak man, he was so strong and tough looking. How could anyone sit there and say those things about someone like Connor. Yes, he is a very nice man with a big heart but he was still ready for just about any war or threat to his pack. "Gag him!" Connor yelled and Luke did as he was told. The elder's and Connor sat at the large table whispering and writing things down. After a good five minutes Connor stood up, as did everyone else. "Josh Masters, you are guilty of treason against the Alpha of The Blue Moon Pack and are sentenced to death by hanging. You will swing by the neck until dead then your body will be burned and burried in an unmarked grave. You will die with dishonor so no one will ever rise in your name. Your name will die out and you will be known as a trader forever. You will no be a martyr an anyone's eyes, not even your families." Connor said and then Luke took Josh away.

Everyonce left the court room and went their seprate ways for the rest of the day. After a little while Olivia and I went back to her house and took all my things back to Connor's. I was beyond tired, the damn trial was long and took forever and my studying was hard enough. "I'll see you tomorrow, I have things to do and my dad is gonna kill me if I'm late for dinner." Olivia said as she went to run out of the house. As soon as she swung the front door open Connor stood there with his hand stuck out to grab the doorknob that was pulled open before he could do it himself. Olivia stepped to the side and Connor walked in, as soon as she was out the door Connor came up to me with a weird look.

"JJ, he was my friend." Connor spoke with a sad look on his face. I grabbed his hand pulling him to the couch. "Connor I am so sorry." I told him with a sadly soft voice. Connor laid his head on my lap and I took his hair down running my fingers through it as tears ran down his face wetting my white dress. "I hate to be the one to tell you this but as your best and closest friend I'm going to. That man was not your friend Connor. Friends don't try to kill you or your loved ones. Friends don't try to take your pack from you like he planned on doing. He wasn't your friend or your pack memeber. He was leaching on you until he could find you in a 'weak' point then strick you down. That's no friend to you or anyone for that matter." I told him while rubbing his head and playing with his hair.
