Jamie
It had been a few weeks since Sapphire had come to live with us. I loved every second I had with this beautiful little girl and I was so glad I got to keep her with me. I planned to make this little girls life the best I could give her, no matter what I had to do for her. She was going to know that she was loved by her real family and that now, she is loved by her new family. Connor was going to be here through every step of the way and that made raising this little girl that much better.
This morning I was up extra early to make Connor and Sapphire breakfast before they both left me. I made bacon, eggs, grits, gravy, and biscuits and plated all the food. I had a pot of coffee brewing for Connor and a glass of orange juice for our baby girl. After I was done I went to wake Connor and then to Sapphire to pick out her clothes and wake her. "Good morning sleeping beauty." I whispered pushing the hair that had fallen on her face behind her ear. Her bright icy blue white eyes opened and her lashes fluttered looking up at me. "It's time to get ready for school, love." I told her and she jumped up fast as lightening for the day. I helped her put on a pair of light blue jeans and a powder pink sweater that was a little baggy on her.
"Can you put my hair in a bun like yours?" She asked with a little smile. "Of course." I told her brushing her hair out and putting it in a messy bun at the top of her head. I slid in two pink clips with rainbows on the tips and took her to the bathroom to let her see what she looked like. "I love it, thank you." She said all smiley before turning around and hugging my hips. "Come on breakfast is waiting and so is Connor." I told her and we took off downstairs to the kitchen to eat. Connor was sat at the head of the table and patiently waiting on us. I helped Sapphire in her chair and pushed her up to the table before sitting down myself to eat.
Sapphire was fast to start eating her food and so was Connor. I couldn't help but to watch them both. They were so cute when they did things together. Sapphire had become really close with Connor and he the same with her. They were like inseparable after she was here for three days. Any time she had a bad dream she would come running into our room and wake Connor up. He was quick to scoop her up and throw her into the bed with us and hold her til she fell asleep. He would run his fingers through her hair and kiss her little forehead and tell her how much he loved her and wanted her to know she would always be safe with him and I.
As soon as breakfast was done Connor decided to walk Sapphire to school which I loved. He scooped her up in his arms placing her on his hip and reaching for her bag. He threw the bag over his shoulder and opened the door, walking out before stopping to let me take a picture of the two of them. I closed the door and cleaned the whole kitchen before going to Sapphire's room and making her bed. Once I was done with her room I went to mine and Connor's room, cleaning and making the bed as well. It felt so good to clean that whole house for the first time. It had been at least twenty minutes after the house was done that I got a text from Olivia saying she was coming over to hang out.
As soon as the door swung open Olivia slammed it shut behind her looking me dead in the eyes. "WHAT'S UP BITCH!" She yelled out in excitement. "MY BITCH!" I yelled back making her laugh. We were quick to jump on the couch laughing and trying to find a movie to watch but we just couldn't stop talking. "So, how are you and Connor?" She asked with a big smile on her face. "We're good. How are you and Luke?" I asked making her blush. "He is so sweet. I can't wait for the wedding." She said making me gasp at her. "And why am I just now hearing about this?" I asked in an excited tone. "Girl, he asked me last night. Your the first person I've told. But mentioning the wedding, you are totally going to be my maid of honor." She said making me bounce up and down on the couch.
"I can't wait. You are going to look so beautiful. Just wait, the dress, the hair, and the shoes. Oh it all sounds like a dream come true." I said in a dreamlike state. "Wait you mean to tell me Connor hasn't asked you to marry him yet?' She asked. "No, I don't think he will ever ask me. Maybe in the next life." I told her making her gasp. "The Alpha of the pack is supposed to marry the Luna. It's tradition, Jamie." She told me with a shocked look on her face. "Maybe he wants to brake tradition. The first Alpha to not marry the Luna of his pack." I tried to deflect my sadness with a little smile but I knew Olivia could see right through my little lie. "Or maybe he's just waiting for the right moment to pop the question." She said drawing out the o in or and bumping my shoulder with hers. "Anyways, back to the whole wedding. Who's going to be in the wedding with you and Luke?" I asked looking at her with big googly eyes. "Well I was hoping I could get Sapphire to be the flower girl and Luke's cousin Paul to be the ring bearer. Of course Connor is going to be Luke's best man and you'll be my maid of honor. Oh and my dad is going to give me away and that's all I have thought about so far." She told me with a little jump of excitement. "Sapphire will love to be your flower girl. She's all about flowers and anything to do with dresses makes her happy as can be. And if you need any help actually planning your wedding I am always here to help, that's what the maid of honor is for honey." I told her as I patted her back speaking the last part with a little smirk seeing the releif wash over her face.
