Chapter 34

Sapphire, Connor, and I all made our way back to Connor's house laughing and talking. Sapphire was still a little scared of Connor but as soon as I told her that he was a good guy and he was going to take care of her, she was better. He made her walk between us holding our hands. We picked her up swinging her back and forth as we walked and she was laughing and having a great time. Once we made it to the house I showed her around the house and she loved it. I was willing to fully share a room with Connor so she could have her own room right across from ours.

Connor took my clothes to our room and I took Sapphire's only bag of clothes and put them in my old room in my old dresser. "How do you like your new room sweetie?" I asked her squatting down to her level. She looped her arms around her back and rocked back and forth on her heels looking around but never looking in my eyes. "What is it?" I asked looking at her with a soft smile. "I like it but it don't look like a girl room, it looks like a boy room." She said with a little smile. I looked around the room realizing she was right, it does look like a boys room.

"How about we go ask Connor for a room makeover?" I asked her with an excited smile on my face, making her jump up and down happily. "Please?" She begged with her hands folded in a begging manor. I grabbed her hand gently and we walked down the stairs to find Connor. He was sat on the couch watching a movie and drinking a beer. I sat down beside him pulling Sapphire on my lap.

We both turned our heads to Connor staring at him intensely, he started to fidget in his seat feeling slightly uncomfortable until he turned to look at us with a weirded out expression. "May I help you both?" He asked making Sapphire giggle a little. "Well now that you mention it, I feel like Sapphire's bedroom is a little dull and boyish for a little girl. I think it would be a great idea if we spiced her new room up a bit, don't you think?" I asked with a smirk playing on my lips. "Here's my card and keys. Call Olivia to see if she will go with you both and make sure you buy a car seat while your out." He said making smile.

"Thank you babe. When we get back I am going to decorate her room and you are going to keep her busy while I do it." I told him with a smile before pulling my phone out and texting Olivia. "Oh and could you take out all the boy stuff from her room, like the paintings, blankets, rugs, and lamps?" I asked and he nodded going to do what I asked. In a few minutes there was a knock on the door and I walked over letting Olivia and Luke into the house. "Sapphire this is Luke and Olivia, they are mine and Connor's best friends." I told Sapphire and she ran over to Olivia and Luke jumping into their arms.

Some time had passed and I decided now was the best time to go ahead and leave to do some shopping. I loaded Sapphire into the car and got in myself before driving off towards the pack gates. We made it passed the gate and onto the main road leading to all the local shops but I needed something better than local stuff. I wanted to go all out for this little girl, she had been through hell and it was about to stop now. We drove into the next town and found a large chain store and parked in the lot. I was quick to get Sapphire out of the car. "Okay sweetie I need you to listen to me carefully. Don't talk to anyone you don't know, don't let go of my hand or Olivia's, and don't tell anyone about the pack okay?" I asked making sure she understood and she nodded grabbing my hand tightly.

We walked into the store and it was packed to the max. We grabbed a cart and I lifted her up putting her inside and walked to the kids section of the store. I grabbed her some clothes that she picked out and some new shoes. I stumbled onto a white dress with big red strips and roses all over it. It had the cutest little black velvet jacket and white stocking. I picked out her size showing it to Olivia and Sapphire. "What do you two think?" I asked and they both nodded with smiles. A few minutes later I came across a pair of little glossy black heels and Olivia picked them up showing them beside the dress and Sapphire nodded before Olivia threw it all back in the cart.

"Now onto the bedroom stuff, then the toys." I said making Scarlett bounce around in the cart with happiness. I took her down to the bedding section and started looking around with both the girls. Sapphire was quick to look around and find a powder pink bed suit. "You want this one?" I asked and she nodded fast. I picked up the phone calling Connor and telling him to remove the bed while he was at it. "Well now we have to buy you a bed that the sheets will fit. We also need to get you some pillows, a rug, and some lamps. We might even get you some wall stickers." I said making Sapphire all excited.

We found some cute powder pink pillows and then went to the beds to look around. I found a bed that was a dark wood and showed Sapphire, she nodded at me. "I love it." Sapphire said looking at all the things we were buying for her. Olivia was helping so much and I knew she was enjoying her time with us as well. It was so fun having a new family and I have grown to love them all so much.
