Teen Wolf- Legend Never Die
Standing in front of them really puts things in perspective. Khali seems really happy about us being here and she won't stop staring. Scott is nervous and I'm oddly calm for someone in the middle of a bunch of killers with a parent who has just been kidnapped. They gave us time to rest. Scott fell asleep briefly but I couldn't sleep at all. However, getting something to eat and resting for a while helped my body recuperate much faster than it was. The scar on my chest is gone and I am no longer fantasizing about Allison's lips. Probably because Scott isn't.
"Your plan was brilliant," Deucalion complimented. "You work well under pressure,"
"She does," Scott agreed. "We've just never really given her the opportunity to really open up,"
"The plan failed," I waved them off. "Even if it was a good plan it didn't work. They usually all work,"
"So, you get kicked down," Khali shrugged. "It happens to the best of us,"
"No, it happens to people like you. I don't get things wrong," I growled at her. "She didn't do this out of need. She's doing it out of spite. She's doing it because I got under her skin. I've been getting under her skin from the beginning. I just didn't know why until tweedle dee and tweetle dum took her to Derek's loft,"
"What does Derek have to do with any of this?" Aiden asked.
"I don't know what plans she has for him but she's obsessed over their connection. In the car, she said he had no idea how connected they were. Derek is upset and he's having a fit. Something she didn't plan on," I shrugged. "You get used to it,"
"Because she's a mass murderer?" Ethan asked.
"Because she hurt Sky," Scott shook his head.
"Awe, puppy love," Khali smiled.
"It's not love. Not the way you think it is," I scoffed.
"There is no other way,"
"Yes, there is. There are many ways to love and what Derek and I have is toxic. We had something in common and we've fixated on that one thing,"
"The alpha and beta bond. I am familiar with that," Deucalion nodded. "Now that the two of you are both in line to lead, it's becoming a problem. You are an extraordinary girl. You both are. Your connection makes you unique and not in the way Ethan and Aiden are. You'd have to be identical for that but in a similar two parts of a whole way.
"Scott, the ever-passionate hero who wants to save as many people as he can. There is commitment, compassion, and dedication to his cause. Whereas you are the complete opposite. You are the cold, prideful, calculating one that sees things logically without letting your emotions get in the way,"
"Does that mean we'll never be whole?" Scott asked.
"But you are whole," Deucalion smirked. "Skylar is struggling with your emotions. She didn't fully understand them at first but she's beginning to. You are also struggling with her passive-aggressive detachment from everyone around you. You didn't understand it either but you now know why she is the way she is.
"I understand that it can be frustrating. After all, we are all individuals here. You have your beliefs and she has her own, Scott. You've always been whole. You need to stop seeing this as a problem. This bond you two share is powerful. You both have felt the kind of strength it has. You've tasted that burst of power. All you need to do now is give in to it,"
"What about the anger she feels right now?" Scott asked him. "It's a little overwhelming. I don't know how she holds in,"
"If it's overwhelming it's not just her anger," Ethan sighed. "It's the combination of yours and hers but it feels foreign to you because you're not usually angry at everyone the way she is,"
