There is so much going on. Stiles is in Eichen House. He decided to go there on his own and Scott is falling apart. I understand why he's so defiant to accept that having Stiles out of the way like this can help us gather our heads to figure out how the hell we're going to get that evil fox spirit out of him. On a less pressing matter, I can't stop thinking about the contract in my bag or everything that's happened in the last forty-eight hours.
Scott asked me to lay low while he and Allison went over to Deaton's. Gideon and Cash are here in the house with me but I needed some time to think. I put Air-Buddies on for them in the living room. It's probably not enough to keep them distracted but there wasn't anything else available at arms reach when I put it on.
"Sky?" Gideon tapped on my door. I quickly pulled my shirt on and stumbled over to the door.
"Hey," I yanked it open.
"We should talk about this," he lifted the binder the Dean had given me. I groaned and then nodded motioning him to go ahead. We walked down to the living room to see that Cash is super into the movie about puppies. I shut the TV off and sat down with them.
"What's going on?" my mom stopped before rushing up the stairs.
"We're going to go over some of the things we got at the school while we wait for Scott to call," it's not a lie at all. For the most part.
"Oh," she beamed. "I'm so excited for you guys. I will get out of your hair,"
"Thanks, mom," I called after her before she disappeared.
"You are literally the most interesting person I know," Cash complimented with a smirk on his stupid face. "I mean do you look for trouble or does it always find you?"
"It's more like trouble showed up one day and made itself at home," we all thought that was funny.
I pulled out the binder and began to go through it. Halfway through the first page, I reached for my highlighter. They both looked at one another with a smile as I began to highlight things I'm not okay with. Once I finished the first section I pulled it out and handed it to Cash.
"Why?" he asked.
"Tell me what you think,"
"What about what I think?" Gideon asked. The two of us looked up at him and smiled.
"Do you care about the specifics or do you just want to be included in the final decisions?" I asked.
"I am going to go find Scott," he stood up. He walked past us and left.
"Predictable," Cash scoffed.
"Did you see what he was wearing? I chose that," I boasted.
"I thought he was getting a better sense of style," he laughed. "Thank you. I'm not too mad about being seen in public with him now,"
"Do you think we baby him too much?"
"Nah, he does fine on his own. We're just polishing his mess," he waved me off.
When I got to the section of the living arrangements, I was ready to blow my brains out and as expected, Scott has once again officially saved my life. He and Allison barged into the house with Gideon and Isaac.
"I have a job for you," he pointed at me.
"Thank god. I hate that alpha prick," I tossed the contract on the table. Cash let out a sigh of relief himself.
"Me too,"
"Are you guys talking about me?" Scott asked.
"No, what's the job?" I asked.
