THE ACE WINGSPIKER OF SEIJOH'S BODY MOVED ON INSTINCT. One second he was staring at Seinaru as her knees buckled, and the next he had already caught her before she hit the pavement, her weight slumping softly into his arms.

"Seinaru," He murmured, his voice taut with worry.

She was completely unconscious in his arms, her eyes shut to the world around her.

The boy let out a sigh, thinking that she might have been in shock because of what happened. Because even of she was Ymari Seinaru, some kind of legendary prodigy, she was still just a person who knew emotions, and could be put into shock by things as such.

He adjusted his grip and lifted her carefully, cradling her close against his chest, while his jaw was tight with worry. Her duffle bag swung lightly by its strap as he hooked it over his shoulder.

The walk to his house felt too long, even though it was only a block away.

When he reached the gate and slid it open with his foot, the porch light flicked on. The door swung open before he could even knock.

"Hajime? Bakit ang tagal mo umuw—" His mom stopped mid-sentence. Her eyes widened dramatically the moment she saw the unconscious girl in his arms.

"Susmaryosep!" She gasped, hands flying to her mouth. "Hajime! What happened?! Who is she—did she faint?!"

Iwazumi tried to keep his voice steady as he explained to his mother. "It's Seinaru. Something happened on the street."

"Seinaru?" His mom, Leni blinked. Then recognition flooded her features when hshe recalled that this was the girl her son liked. "Oh!"

"Yeah." Iwaizumi grunted in response. "She's fine, just shocked, I think."

His mom ushered him inside frantically. "Bring her to the couch. Go, hurry!"

He nodded, tightening his hold and carrying Seinaru to the living room. His mother followed behind, fussing anxiously as he gently laid Seinaru on the couch.

Iwazumi brushed stray strands of her dark hair off her forehead.

"She's cold," His mom murmured, placing a hand on Seinaru's cheek. "Get her a blanket, Hajime."

He grabbed one immediately from the cupboard in the living room, draping it over her. She looked so small like this. And for some reason, Iwaizumi didn't like seeing her in a state that was far from her normal— not only was it not like her, but he also didn't want to see her in any way close to something akin to being hurt.

His mother eyed him suspiciously. "Explain."

"Someone tried to.." He exhaled. "..bother her. I stepped in."
