"HE'S YOUR WHAT?"
Obsidian-colored eyes stared at her in disbelief, after nearly choking on his medium rare steak.
The girl simply blinked. "OA much."
It was half past nine in the evening when the two top aces of Japan found themselves having dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
It was Seinaru who had invited him to eat with her. Not only was she hungry for food, but she was also hungry for answers. She wanted to know how exactly this stoic black-haired volleyball ace somehow really figured her out.
To be honest, she hadn't taken him as someone who would figure things out like Hinata did. She thought his curiosity was shallow, and he wouldn't dig too deep.
But alas, here we are.
"That shrimp from Karasuno.. is your son?" Sakusa repeated what she had just said to him.
She rolled her eyes at him, "Out of everything I told you, that's what you're hung up on?"
The ace blinked. Oh right, she did just tell him who the Terushima guy was.
Apparently, he was an old friend whom she had a fallout with, as Seinaru had phrased it. He didn't believe it entirely, but an answer is an answer.
"Now I believe it's my turn to ask questions." She put her fork and knife down.
She narrowed her eyes at him. "How did you find out?"
Sakusa blinked, his heart suddenly doing a flip under her heated gaze.
"I connected two and two together."
"You can't possibly be that smart." She scoffed.
He rose a brow at this, "I am smart."
She simply rolled her eyes at him.
"But I might have seen you with them on multiple occasions." He half-lied through his teeth.
He can't exactly tell her that Tendō spilled the very truth after assuming that he was a client too. He's not a tattletale.
"Really?" Her brow rose.
Then it dawned on her. He might have recognized her from that time she was Heather with Bokuto.
"Kotarō, I get." She said. "But what about Kenma?"
"He's always latched onto you like a leech." Sakusa couldn't help how harsh it came out.
She bit her lip, her eyes narrowed, "Ushijima?"
"Wakatoshi doesn't watch other volleyball games, much less basketball. That was a no-brainer."
She hummed, but her gaze on him was steady. "Alright, where did the contract idea come from?"
