FUKUZATSU, THE FIFTH ARC BEGINS OUTSIDE ON THE BUSTLING STREETS OF TOKYO. The protagonist, Ymari Seinaru walked through the lively crowd, a hot coffee cup in hand, while she let her thoughts wander.
A hot americano coffee in her hand? That was out of the ordinary. She usually preferred something cold and sweet, but for some reason, her taste buds craved something that would jolt her senses.
Because although her drink tonight was out of the ordinary, nothing could top what happened earlier.
For the first time since two years ago, she heard that nickname.
Mari-chin.
And it came from the lips of the very person she had hoped was a stranger, who saw her as someone he loathed all those years ago.
And now, all of a sudden, he recognized her.
She couldn't wrap her head around that fact just yet. It seemed like it was just yesterday that he pushed her away and told her he hated her.
He who was once her normal.
The very guy who started it all.
That boy..
Lost in thought, she sighed his name out loud, "Yuuji Terushima."
Suddenly, someone tugged her arm harshly, sending her back to the person's chest.
"Excuse me." Startled, she tugged her arm back and started walking away.
"Seinaru."
Her eyes shot behind her, to where the voice was coming from. Her eyes slightly widened when she saw familiar curly tufts of midnight black hair and obsidian eyes.
"Sakusa-sama." She blinked, a bit taken aback by the boy who was standing behind her.
The wingspiker's brow rose at her, eyes calculatedly peering at her as he walked in her direction slowly.
"So, you do know my name." He said in a slightly amused tone, but there was an edge to his voice. "For a second there I thought you were going to call me Terushima again."
Silence hung in the air for a moment, as Ymari processed the situation.
"When did I..?" She trailed off, before her eyes blinked in realization.
She looked at Sakusa and was about to say something else before he beat her to it.
"I tugged your arm earlier; it seemed as if your mind was elsewhere." Sakusa looked at her.
"You were about to cross the road on a red light but I caught you."
"But then again, it wasn't my name you uttered." Sakusa tilted his head at her, eyes narrowing.
