luke walked in wrapping his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder. “are you ok babe?” i finished wiping the cake of leo’s face when i turned back to luke.
“yeah i guess so. my mum thought i was pregnant.” i started to get teary when luke pulled me close and hugged me tight. “come on. the nights almost over. just a little longer. i promise.” he gave me a kiss on the lips. luke took leo back out into the lounge room. i finished cleaning lewis up before going back into the lounge room to open the baby twins presents. they got some clothes and cute toys. after the opening the present most of the brooks family left. later into the night most of my family went home too. i put the boys straight to bed and went into the lounge room and cuddled with luke on the mattress. we wrapped our arms around each other and i laid my head on his chest. he started rubbing my back as i started to cry. “babe its ok. don't worry. just tell me whats bothering you.”
“its just i feel like I've missed out on so much. like because of me we missed our one year anniversary. I'm just thinking one year ago i moved to melbourne and meet you and we became best friends, than girl friend and boyfriend and now we have two kids and were living in a house together. it just.. i don't know, if i ever lost you i would died. i couldn't live with out you. I'm just really emotional right now.” i was laughing and crying at the same time. “babe i will be with you forever. i will never leave you, never. i promise.” i cried for another half an hour before i was all cried out. i fell asleep to luke playing with my hair and rubbing my back. when i woke up the next morning and luke wasn't in bed. i walked into the spare room to check on the twins and they weren't there either. i walked into the kitchen and had toast. i looked out the window which showed the whole backyard. i saw luke rolling around in the grass with the twins. he was such a great dad and boyfriend. after i had toast i walked into the backyard to them. “hey guys what are you doing?”
“oh nothing just playing. how are you?”
“betta”
“mamma. mamma” i looked up to luke and we both smiled. lewis said it.
