a week went past and it was the start of the weekend. luke drove us to jasmines house. we got to her house at 6:30. luke was very tired so he had dinner and went to sleep early. i stayed up and talked to jas and dylan. i had dinner with luke so i went to bed after we talked. “luke I'm scared”
“oh what about?”
“i don't know. it just were going to see our baby for the first time and i just want everything to be perfect.”
“don't worry it will be. i promise.” he gave me a big kiss and we snuggled into each other. i fell asleep soon after. luke woke me up the next morning. “hey, time to get up. your sister made you breakfast.” i rubbed my face and walked out to the kitchen with luke. my sister made me my favourite. pancakes. “so how are you feeling?”
“scared and nervous. a little freaked out.” she laughed. dylan left for work after i finished my breakfast. we all got change and got in the car ready for my appointment. i waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes before they let me in the room. i than waited another 10 minutes for the doctor to come in. “hello. I'm doctor Bennett. i will be doing the ultrasound today.” she grabbed a bottle of blue gel and poured it on my stomach. it was really cold. she put the bottle away, sat down and turned the machine on. i grabbed luke’s hand and pulled him close. she moved the machine across my stomach a few time before she said “so, here it is. your baby. perfectly healthy” she turned to screen toward me and luke. i started to laugh and cry. i squeezed luke’s hand tighter and look up at him, smiling. he didn't take his eyes of the screen. “would you like to know what the gender of your baby is?”
“yes please” she moved the machine around my stomach a few more time. “congratulations. you are going to have a baby... boy.” i smiled and cry a little bit more. luke disappeared. he walked back in with my sister. “oh my god. wow”
