after we put the kid in the car luke asked me to walk home with him. so i gave jai the key and walked over to beau. “drive safe. or i swear to god beau...”
“don't worry lil sis. i wont go over 20” he pulled out of park and i started to walk with luke. as we walked luke pulled me closer and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. “so i have some news.”
“yeah what about.”
“well i got a job.”
“doing what.”
“an electrician. I'm going to tafe to study, 4 days a week”
“oh luke I'm so proud of you. when did this happen”
“umm... about..... 2 weeks ago.”
“why didn't you tell me earlier?”
“i don't know. but what i do know, is that tomorrow I'm taking you somewhere.”
“where?”
“somewhere. and if you like it. well yeah” we were about one street away when i jumped i on luke and he gave me a piggy back the rest of the way. when we got back beau, jai and the twins were sitting on the lounge watching tv. beau and jai ended up staying for dinner. the twin juniors fells asleep around 8 and beau and jai left soon after. luke and i cuddled on the lounge watching tv before we went to bed. i woke up at 4 to feed the boys and change their nappies. i went back to sleep and woke up again around 8 and luke had the boys in the lounge room. we were both having breakfast together when luke said “ok when my brothers come I'm taking you to the surprise.” i continued to eat my breakfast, thinking what the hell was this surprise. i feed the boys again just before luke’s brothers came over. they were so excited and happy to baby sit them.
