--------------------

I woke up to the sound of something beeping. I looked around and realized that I was in a hospital room. I saw eomma and appa talking to a company representative. They were very surprised when I sat up. They immediately came over and asked me if I was alright. Then eomma explained to me what they were talking about. Apparently, the company was concerned on whether I'd be able to fully recover or not. The cause of their concern was because I had a mild heart attack after the performance. That was when they broke the news that I had developed heart problems. I had become a liability. So, I understood the company's concern.

(a/n - "Se Rin" / "Eomma" / "Appa" /  "Mr. Kim - Company Representative")

"Se Rin ah, do you still really want to be a singer?" asked eomma.

"I love music and I like performing. But if the company sees it fit to terminate my trainee contract, I'll accept it." I replied.

"Are you sure Se Rin ah?" asked appa.

"I won't be able to practice as much as I want to and training will not help my present condition. I'm more concerned about the fee we'll have to pay."

"Se Rin ah, if it's the company's decision, then you won't have to pay any fee." Replied  Mr. Kim, the company representative.

"I see. You're here, so I think that the company has already decided to terminate my contract."

"Yes. That's what I was discussing with your parents."

"Are you sure that you'll let this happen Se Rin ah?"

"Please allow the company to terminate my contract. I want to recover first."

"Okay."

Then the representative had my parents sign the papers. He told me to surrender the things that belongs to the company. I promised that I'd return it when I get discharged from the hospital. I was trying to be brave and matured the whole time. But as soon as the representative left, I broke down in tears. I was bawling as my parents tried to comfort me. It was so painful to suddenly end everything because of something unexpected. But my parents respected my decision and supported me in everything I did.

Chan's POV

There's still no news about Se Rin. I've wanted to call her and ask her how she's doing. But the company told us to leave her alone for now so she can rest. That doesn't mean that I don't text her though. I've been so worried about her that it's getting hard to focus. I just want to know how she's doing. I just want to know. I miss her so much. My mind has been occupied by her. But I know that I can't stop working hard for my dream just because she wasn't beside me. I know I have to keep going.

I sighed deeply before forcing myself up from the floor of the practice room. I took a deep breath before joining the others since our break has just ended.

Se Rin's POV

My parents were really supportive. They believed in me, in my dream, and my capabilities. My parents were very busy people but they put everything aside to spend time with me. I loved that they loved me but didn't spoil me. Eomma worked as a professor in the music department at a university. That's how I was introduced to music. She taught me how to play many different instruments. Appa used to be a dancer. He loved dancing. Now he teaches at a university as well. But he was in the dance and performance art department. He was the one who taught me how to dance. Now that I wasn't a trainee anymore, and I felt lost, they knew how to help me.
