Time went by quickly for me. It's always like that when I'm working on something big. In no time, teasers had been released, and then the album and the music video were released. And then soon, I was promoting my song. I had already finalized my leave from school and had started my promotion. While I was promoting, I went on different shows too. And I was doing more V lives. My friends supported me a lot and the twins were fine with me promoting. Eomeoni contacted me a lot to support me. By the end of my promotion, my song peaked at number 2 and I was shortlisted to be number 1 on music shows a lot. My nurse took care of me a lot. On my very last live performance, I gave my all and ended up receiving the trophy. It was my very first music show win. I was very happy that I ended up crying during the encore stage. After the show, the staff and I went to have dinner together to wrap up my promotion. I was very happy that night. A lot of my friends and colleagues congratulated me for my win.

It was the same when I got home that night. My family congratulated me and we had a small party. When the party was over and the kids had been put to bed, eomma and I ended up crying together. We were both very worried because I was going to the hospital soon. I cried with eomma all night and she slept in my bed with me. The next morning, I packed some clothes, my essential items, and my gadgets. My family was already at work and the kids were already at the daycare. I had lunch at home by myself and then I headed to the hospital when Sun Gyu oppa arrived to bring me there. I went straight to my doctor's office and soon, I was admitted to the hospital. I was reading a book and listening to music when my eomma and appa came to visit me that night.

"How are you Se Rin?" asked eomma.

"I'm fine. I'm still tired though." I said.

"Jun Woo brought the kids home. He'll be here tomorrow."

"I'm scared of letting the kids see me like this. It might scare them." I said.

"Don't worry. Everything will be okay." Eomma reassured me.

"So, have you talked to seonsaengnim yet?"

"Yes. The surgery is set on Wednesday." Replied appa.

"I'm scared. But I want this."

"Don't worry. We know that you'll get through this."

"We'll always be here for you." said appa. And then someone suddenly entered my room. I looked and saw JYP PD-nim.

"Annyeonghaseyo." I said.

"Oh? Annyeonghaseyo." Said eomma and appa.

"Annyeonghaseyo, you must be Se Rin's parents." Said PD-nim. And then they shook hands.

"Thank you for taking care of Se Rin." Said eomma.

"Ya, you really got old." Said appa suddenly. I was really taken aback and flustered at what he said. I noticed that PD-nim was flustered too. He stared at appa for a few seconds and suddenly laughed.

"But you got old too hyung! Ya, it's been a while hyung! I didn't know that Se Rin was your kid." said PD-nim.

"Well, it wouldn't have been fun if you knew. Thanks for taking care of Se Rin." Said appa.

"Anyways, let's catch up some other time hyung. I'm actually here for Se Rin." He said.

"Okay. We'll let you two talk." Said appa. And then he and eomma left my room.

"So, how are you feeling Se Rin ah?" he asked.

"I'm feeling fine." I replied.

"Congratulations on your first win. You did really well until the end of your promotion."

"Thank you."

"When will you have the surgery?"

"It's scheduled on Wednesday afternoon. Actually PD-nim, I wanted to tell you that I'll continue working while I'm recovering. I'll still make songs but I'll make sure that I won't overwork myself." I said.

"Ya, don't think of work now. You should think about your health first." He said. We talked for a little longer and then PD-nim left. After he left, my parents came back in and stayed with me until late that night.

They left just in time for me to sleep. I was honestly nervous and afraid of what might happen. I couldn't sleep well at all that night because I was so worried. The next morning, I was surprised to wake up to Soo Bin, Soo Hyun and Woo Hyun playing on the sofa. I was flustered and then I sat up. That was when they noticed that I was already up. I took a sip of water from the bottle beside my bed and then Soo Bin helped the kids up to my bed. They hugged me tightly and kept telling me about what they did yesterday. I gave Soo Bin a questioning look and then went back to the kids. They refused to leave my side the whole time. Even going to the bathroom was hard because they kept insisting on going with me. Thankfully, Soo Bin held them back for me.

Sun Gyu oppa arrived after lunch to see if I needed everything. I thanked him and told him that most of what I needed were brought here by my family. But I did ask him a favor. I asked him to buy two whole boxes of Pepero, ribbons, stationaries and tape. He said okay and immediately headed out even though I told him not to rush. Soo Bin and the kids stayed with me all day and only went home that night after I reassured them that I'll still be here when they come again. I couldn't sleep well that night again. Chan and I exchanged a lot of messages while I was talking to eomeoni on the phone. She did promise not to tell Chan anything. I barely got any sleep that night.

When morning came, I woke up to eomma and appa preparing their breakfast at the coffee table. I got up and drank water and went to the bathroom. When I got back, my food had arrived and so did Jun Woo oppa and Sun Gyu oppa. We ate breakfast together. I could feel a heavy atmosphere in my room and I could feel that eomma was really worried. Thankfully, Sun Gyu oppa broke the silence.

"Se Rin ah, I've already bought what you asked for. Should I bring those here?" asked Sun Gyu oppa.

"Yes. Please bring those here. I'll start working on those as soon as I could after the surgery." I said.

"What did you ask Sun Gyu shi to get?" asked oppa.

"I asked him to buy Pepero and some other stuff."

"Why?" asked eomma.

"I'm going to prepare them for Pepero day. I'll send it to some people." I said.

"Don't think about that now. Just think about recovering well after the surgery okay?" said appa.

"Yes." I said. And then we continued with breakfast.

After eating, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and then I went back to the sofa. I spent as much time clinging to eomma and appa as I could. When lunch came, I was already on the bed and was being prepped for the surgery. I refused to eat because I wasn't hungry. Nobody actually wanted to eat. I could feel that everyone was nervous and worried. When my doctor came to my room with the nurses, they greeted my family and then reassured us that everything will be fine. I reassured my family too and then I was brought to the operating room. My family went there with me and then they gave me a kiss on the forehead before I was wheeled into the operating room. The last thing I saw before they put me under was the bright lights in the operating room. And then there was nothing.

Chan's POV

I haven't seen Se Rin for days. I wanted to celebrate her first win with her. But I was really busy that night. We've been texting a lot but we haven't really seen each other. It's been days since I've seen any sign of her at the company. I've dropped by her studio every single day but she was never there. When I ask her about it, she'd tell me that she's been working at home since she's on her break. I've been having feeling weird recently but I just brushed it off.

Today was Wednesday and we're busy again. But for some reason, I've been feeling really nervous. I grew more anxious as the day progressed. And then, all of a sudden, all the anxious and nervous feelings I've been having disappeared. I thought it was weird. But I brushed it off again and focused on the work in front of me.
