Se Rin's POV

I woke up to the sound of beeping. The room was dark but I could hear people talking around me. I was awake but I was in too much pain to move. I looked around the dark room and but the most I could see was the monitor beside me. I turned my head and saw a nurse checking my vitals. She turned to me and immediately called for another nurse when she saw that I was awake. She propped up my bed and then she quickly finished checking my vitals. A few minutes later, my doctor came in followed by another nurse. It was when I saw them coming in that I noticed Sun Gyu oppa sitting on the sofa. He hasn't approached me yet, but he looked relieved that I was awake already.

My doctor gave me a quick check and told me that everything seems fine. He also filled me in on what happened while I was unconscious. He also told me that it'll hurt a lot. But I have to get through it so I could recover well. After they left, Sun Gyu oppa immediately came to my side. He filled me in with everything that I missed and told me that he had already called my parents to tell them that I'd woken up. I thanked him for everything and then I asked him for water. He handed me a bottle and helped me drink water. And then I told him to rest and just let me watch TV. So, he went back to the sofa and settled there. I tried moving my arms for a bit. I felt very stiff but at least I could move. I could feel pain on my chest but it was bearable at the moment.

I kept thinking about what my doctor told me. He said that I was fine and that everything was well. But he did remind me to keep myself healthy. I kept thinking to myself until I fell asleep. When I woke up again, it was bright outside and I felt sore. The nurse just arrived to clean my stitches so, Sun Gyu oppa left. I'm close to all my managers. But I was closest to Sun Gyu oppa because he assists me the most. So, I was really thankful to him. After I was cleaned, I was served food. I ate a few bites and then I asked Sun Gyu oppa to hand me the things I asked him to get. He obliged and then I started preparing my gifts for Pepero day.

I actually spent most of my time preparing my gifts and writing some notes. I even studied previous lessons because I was so bored. I exchanged messages with Chan a lot at night and I talked with eomeoni a lot too. I had Sun Gyu oppa deliver my Pepero day gifts to Stray Kids on Pepero day with the notes I wrote for them. Soo Bin or Jun Woo oppa would take the kids to visit me every day too. I stayed at the hospital for a while because they had to make sure that my new heart was functioning properly and that my ribs healed properly. I also had to do a lot of cardio exercises to keep myself healthy. My managers visited me a lot too. By December, my new single was released. I was glad that it was received well. But many people were wondering why I haven't been very active. I couldn't do anything about that, but Hye Mi eonnie made sure to post pictures or videos of me to make sure that I was still somewhat visible to the public. I've already missed a lot of award shows where I was nominated for some categories. But thankfully, I was still given the award even though I couldn't make it.

According to my doctor, I can leave the hospital soon. I was very happy when I heard the news. That day, I was so excited to tell my family that I could leave soon. I eagerly waited for them to visit me that day. I was playing games on my laptop when Soo Bin arrived with the kids. I immediately put down my laptop and went to hug them. The kids told me to close my eyes so, I did. When they told me to open them, I was surprised to see a cake. I thanked them and gave them very tight hugs. They looked very proud of themselves and it made me happy. Then we all settled down on the sofa to eat the cake.

"Ya, what's with the cake?" I asked Soo Bin.

"Jun Woo hyung called me earlier and told me that the doctor said that you can go home soon. When I told the kids, they said that they wanted to get you cake." He replied.
