Both Chan and I were nervous as we went to my doctor's clinic. She greeted us and then we immediately started with my checkup. When it was time to check our babies' gender, both Chan and I were very nervous. I saw Chan in tears when he heard our both the babies' heartbeat for the first time. I noticed him filming the monitor, making sure that the babies' heartbeats were clearly heard. When it was the moment of truth, we both held our breath. Waiting for the doctor to tell us if our babies are girls or boys.
"Well, are you ready to know?" she asked.
"Yes." We replied nervously.
"Congratulations! You're going to have a baby girl and a baby boy." She said and then Chan immediately hugged me.
"Thank you very much." We said together. I was ecstatic at the news!
After my consultation, Chan went to pay the bills while my doctor handed me the ultrasounds and my prescription for my vitamins. When Chan returned, we thanked her again and made sure to cover up before heading out. We decided to go home to tell the family about it. We arrived at my parents' place and sat down with my family. Then I called eomeoni who picked up immediately. She was in the living room with abeonim.
"So, why did you guys suddenly call?" asked eomeoni, a little confused about the sudden call.
"I want you guys to hear something." Said Chan excitedly. And then he played his video. Everyone was listening to it intently.
"Oh my gosh! Both the babies' heartbeats are so strong!" said eomma.
"Is that really their heartbeats?" asked abeonim.
"That's his and her heartbeats. It's really strong right?" said Chan.
"Wait, did you just say 'his' and 'her'?" asked appa.
"Yes. Our little beans are a prince and a princess." I said and then eomma and eomeoni immediately squealed.
"We're having a baby sister and a baby brother?!" asked the twins excitedly.
"Yes baby. You're going to have a baby sister and a baby brother." I replied and then they squealed too.
"Okay, what do you two have already? We're sending you guys some baby things." Asked eomeoni.
"You don't have to do that eomma. Bam and the guys are spoiling the little prince and princess already. Se Rin and I haven't even had the chance to go shopping on our own and we don't even have much to buy anymore." Said Chan.
"Well, expect something to arrive for you guys, okay?" she said.
"Yes." We just said in resignation.
"So, when are you two going to go shopping?" asked eomma.
"I think we'll go together after we go public with our relationship." Replied Chan.
"You two are going public?!" they asked in surprise.
"Yes. We've already talked to the company about it. And we think that it'd be better to go public since we can't keep babe's pregnancy a secret forever." Said Chan.
"Good luck you two." His parents said sympathetically.
"Thank you." we replied.
"We probably should go back to work now." I said as I checked the time.
