Se Rin's POV

After lunch, we went shopping excitedly. They helped me buy some rattles and other baby things. We were all happy and excited. After a fun day of shopping, they drove me home. I gave Hee Jin a quick hug before I got off the car and went up. I brought the things I bought to eomma and appa's in case Chan suddenly dropped by. I joined my family for dinner and then with eomma's help, we put the kids to bed. I was in the shower when I heard the door close. I quickly wiped myself and got dressed. Then I went to check on who it was and was surprised to see Chan enter the living room.

"I'm home." he said.

"Welcome home babe." I said and then I went to hug him.

"Hmm, you smell good."

"Have you eaten yet?"

"Yeah, I ate with the guys. I just want to cuddle with you all night."

"Okay. Go and take a shower." I said and then he went to the bathroom.

I went to lock the door and took a breather. I was so nervous. I couldn't do anything else but wish that Chan won't notice the baby bump. It was there already. I went to the kitchen to grab my water bottle and brought it to the room with me. Chan was still in the shower when I got into bed. I felt so exhausted that I fell asleep as soon as I lay down.

Chan's POV

I went home to her. As soon as they told us that we can go home, I grabbed my things and told the guys that I would be at Se Rin's. I couldn't wait to see her! I wanted to cuddle all night with her. And maybe even ask her about what's going on. 

She had just finished getting ready for bed when I arrived. She looked tired, but otherwise fine. I immediately pulled her into my embrace and held her. I didn't want to let go. But she told me to shower and get ready for bed. I obliged. I was all giddy thinking about how we'd be cuddling. But when I got out of the bath, I saw her already tucked in and asleep. I smiled to myself as I briefly watched her sleeping so soundly. Since she was already out of it, I just got into the bed and pulled her close to me. I fell asleep as I told myself that I'd be asking her about it in the morning.

Se Rin's POV

I woke up to an empty bed. I felt guilty that I wasn't able to cuddle with Chan. I figured that he had already gone back to work. My eyes open wide and I sat up hurriedly when I saw the time. Seeing that it was already noon, I quickly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up. I kept thinking that I should make lunch for us now. I stop in my tracks when I saw someone standing there, cooking. I stared at his broad shoulders and then I saw his face. He looked so focused on cooking. I carefully approached him and put my arms around his waist and hugged him tightly.

"Oh? You're finally up." Said Chan without looking at me.

"I'm sorry for sleeping all morning. I was just so tired."

"That's alright. I overslept too. The kids weren't around when I woke up. I think they already went to your parent's place. By the way, are they going to eat here?"

"They're probably eating there already." I said and then Chan turned off the stove and turned to give me a kiss.

"Is pasta alright with you?"

"Of course!"

"Okay. Why don't you go and sit down at the table? I'll bring the food over."

"Okay." I said and then I went to settle down at the table. I had just settled down when I heard the door open and the kids calling out.

"Eomma!" they were shouting as they ran into the kitchen.

"What is it baby?" I asked them.

"We saw the baby picture!" said Woo Hyun excitedly.

"Are they the babies eomma?!" asked Soo Hyun as she showed me the ultrasound.

"What baby picture?" asked Chan as he put down our plates on the table.

"Appa!" the kids said excitedly and I facepalmed.

"Hey kiddos! So, what baby picture are you guys talking about?"

"Baby, can you go to halme first? Appa and I need to talk." I said and then the kids obliged. Chan looked at me confusedly when I sent the kids out.

"What's wrong babe? What do we need to talk about?" he asked as he settled down from across the table from me.

"The baby picture they were talking about. It's this." I said as I put the ultrasound down in front of him. He examined it for a while and then he looked at me with wide eyes.

"Whose ultrasound is this?" he asked. I took a deep breath and gathered all my courage before answering him.

"It's mine." I replied.

"Are you pregnant?"

"Yes." I replied quietly. There was silence. I couldn't look up to see his expression.

"It's mine, right? It's my baby, right?" he asked quietly after a while.

"Yes." I whispered.

"Se Rin," he began.

"I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to hide it from you. I only found out about it recently too. I was so scared of telling you because I know that you have a lot on your plate already. A lot of things are going on at the moment and I don't want to be a burden. I'm really sorry babe." I sobbed. I had my hands on my face and I couldn't get myself to look at him.

He was silent. Only my sobs could be heard in the house. And then I heard his chair move and I heard him walk away and leave the house. I cried even more and dragged my feet to the bedroom. I curled up under the covers and cried my eyes out. When I finally managed to calm down a little, I went back to the kitchen to eat bread and to clean. I cried as I tossed the pasta Chan cooked to the waste. It was already dinner time when I finished cleaning. I think eomma caught on to what's happening and sent me a message that the kids were eating already. I thanked her and then I ate bread and drank milk. 

Chan's POV

I was speechless. I honestly didn't know what to say. I was so surprised at her sudden revelation that I couldn't form any words. I had so many questions for her but I couldn't seem to make a sound. I was having mixed emotions. I was confused about everything. I couldn't make sense of any thing. So, I did the first thing that came to my mind. And it was that I needed to go out and figure things out in my mind.

Without a word, I got up from my seat, grabbed my bag and left. I could hear her sobs but I needed to make sense of things first. My emotions were running high that I didn't care about anything else. I immediately got on a taxi to the Han river. I stayed there, staring at the water as I tried to think of things calmly. And once I've calmed down, I managed to process everything that's happening. I immediately felt bad for leaving the love of my life crying all by herself. And that's when I started planning. I needed to come clean and make everything okay.
