I continued typing on my keyboard, each time I clicked on a key, the sound projected through out my office. I heard a knock on the door, then the door open.

"Are you busy?" I heard Jessie's voice say, she took Mark's spot in the business. I looked up from the computer at her. She had dirty blonde hair, large lips and was about five seven in height. She was pretty but not the type of girl I was into. I never liked blondes. Blondes are bimbos to me but she's decently smart. A bit annoying at times but manageable.

"Well I'm at work, doesn't that speak for its self?" I say continuing my work. She walked in closing the door, I heard each step she took toward me. She sat down on my desk disturbing me. "Yes?" I mumbled leaning back on the reclining chair.

"Are you free after work? I wanted to get to know my boss a little bit" she clearly has high expectations for me. I also have a girlfriend that I love.

       "No"

"Oh come on, live a little. It'll be fun, we can go to a bar drink a bit, talk" I furrowed my eyebrows really not caring.

"I have my personal life to get to after work. I don't 'live a little' with my work colleagues. Is  that all you came in here for?" I sat up straight continuing work.

"Nicolas, i know you have nothing to do after work. Just a simple cup of coffee then?" I sighed to myself feeling the anger in me rise. It was like the heat melting an ice cube.

"If I say yes will you shut up and work?" I snapped really annoyed at her presence. She smiled and got off my desk.

"I'll see you later Nicolas" she walked out with her bright red heels that I hated. Not long after the door shut Kendall called me.

"Hello?" I said putting the phone on speaker.

"Hey babe, what time are you getting off work?"

"6 maybe... not sure, but I'll probably get home around 8..maybe later?" That sounded more like a question then a statement. I heard her sigh, I immediately stop typing on my  computer and put the phone to my ear taking it off speaker "why? Isn't everything okay?"

"Yes everything is okay, um I'll just figure it out" I furrowed my eyebrows, confused on what was going on.

       "Kendall"

"It's nothing, i just wanted to ask if you knew how to fix the light bulb. It can easily wait, plus I still want to surprise you for tomorrow"

"Okay honey, well I really have to get going if I want to finish this. I'll see you tomorrow, I love you" I felt the sides of my lips curl naturally.

"I love you too! I miss you and I can't wait to see you! Remember to not blow up and yell at people because everyone is trying their best, including you! I love you so much! I'm sending kisses your way" I chuckled softly loving her even more then a second ago. "Bye!!!"

"Bye" I hung up, continuing with work.

I shut my lap top and turned off my desk top. I sighed to myself tired of sitting down and answering emails and business offers.

I stood up, already seeing the sun go down. I looked at my phone and saw that Kendall sent me a picture of herself giving a thumbs up and holding burnt out light bulb.
