Those light blue eyes...I could recognize them anywhere. I didn't want to go to the usual coffee place I went to, so I went to a new one close to work.

I was having my lunch break there when I saw him. I saw how his eyes got dark and panicky, he looked sad. His hair was combed back nicely but some strands fell forward. His shirt was drenched in sweat, he was probably coming from the gym. It felt like an eternity that I never wanted to end when I looked into his eyes. He practically ran out of the shop. I didn't even know what to do.

I looked out the window towards the direction he was walking. I saw another man follow him, who was that man? He had dark brown skin and had a buzz cut. A few inches shorter then Nicolas.

He didn't walk far but he walked far enough to the point where I couldn't see him anymore. I sat down properly leaning back into my chair. My heart pounded in and out of my chest. My hands started to sweat.

God I miss him. I really miss him.

I felt my nose begin to sting the more I thought about him. I saw the amount of pain his eyes held. What if he was telling the truth? How could I know he was telling the truth, when everything that I saw was just  too perfect for his side of the argument to be false.

I felt my phone buzz on my lap making me break out of thought. I immediately picked up not looking at the Caller ID.

"Hello?" I sniffled softly trying to contain myself. I wiped my tears away and my nose from the snot that was going to pour out of my nose if I  stared to cry.

        "Hey....you okay?" Darren.

"Yeah, umm, yeah I'm okay." I'm not okay.

"You sure?" No. He genuinely sounded worried, but how could I tell him. I'm not okay, I just saw my ex-boyfriend that I love dearly but who cheated on me and we both looked into each other's eyes and I think he might be telling the truth because of how pained he looked.

"Yeah, I just saw military video of the soldier coming home" I chuckled softly trying to cover up the real story.

"Oh yeah, those get me all the time. Anyway I wanted to ask you, if you are free tonight?" I bit my lip softly trying to think of I had anything to do today at night. I mean I do get off at 9 today and we did have plans.

"I mean the only plan I had in mind was you coming over...that was the original plan...wasn't it?" I questioned, I heard him laugh softly at my response. I smiled softly, twirling one of the pig tails I had.

"I mean yes we do have plans tonight, but are you willing to go to a night club with me tonight?" Night club.... I've never been to a night club. Well I never have time or energy to go to a night club. "I mean we don't have to but I think it'll be fun," I bit my lip softly not knowing if I should say yes. "We can have some drinks, dance a bit. Then if it ain't fun or anything we can go to In-N-Out,  get some burgers and sit at the pier looking at the ocean." I couldn't help but smile at the alternative.

"You're convincing me more to the part where we leave" I heard him chuckle softly.

"Let's have some fun, we can do the burger thing any other day- we can even do it tomorrow. Party, party, party, party"

I gave in. "Fine! Let's go" I laughed, i heard him start hollering which made me laugh some more.

"Okay, okay, I'll uh-I'll pick you up at 10"
