Pope had to steal one of John B's pants due to the fact he lost his own when he was trying to escape the grave yard. Currently the pouges were back at the chateau, and Esme was exhausted to say the least. She laid on the couch with her eyes closed until a bright light was shining on her face.

"Is it finally my time?" Esme asked thinking she died and went to heaven.

Literally.

"Not in a million years. Come on, we gotta see what John B has." Pope pulled her up and Esme dragged herself to where John B was and leaned against the wall

"Holy shit." John B gasped.

"X marks the spot." Pope mentioned pointing to a spot on the map. John B then pulled out a tape recorder and played it.

"Dear Bird and Picasso."

"Who's Bird and Picasso?" Jj asked in confusion.

"I know my dad would call me Picasso all the time. Big John must've picked up on it." Esme replied.

"My dad called me bird." John B added making Esme frown and rub his back.

"I hate to say "I told you so" but I told you so. And you doubted your old man. I suspect at this moment you're filled with guilt and self-loathing over our last fight, but don't kill your self just yet kid. I didn't expect to find the merchant either. You were probably right to call me out. Wasn't exactly Father of the Decade. What could I say kid? I could smell the barn. And hopefully we're listenin' to this in our brand new sugar-shack down in Costa Rica, living off passive investments and pulling on permits. If not, and you find this for less than optimal reasons, well that's what the map is for. There she is, the wreck of the merchant. If something happens to me, finish what I started. Go for the gold, kid. Take care of Picasso for me. That kids got talent, I tell you. Gonna be famous one day. I just hope she doesn't forget about me when she's making millions of dollars off her art work. I love you guys, even if I didn't always act like it. I'll see you on the other side."

Esme's eyes were wide, her jaw dropped, with tears streaming down her face.

"He did it. Big John he—-he found the merchant."

"Time and place Jj. We've been over this." Esme snapped as she walked over to John B who was sobbing loudly. She rested her head on his shoulder making him lean into her touch. She rubbed his back while telling him comforting words in Spanish. That usually calmed down all the pouges when they were having a bad day.

The crew sat on the docks later that night in comfortable silence. Esme sat across from Pope as she was trying to finish her drawing of him. She wanted to give it to him as a surprise, so each time he asked what she was drawing she would lie and say she was sketching the ocean.

"How much was it again?" Jj asked breaking the silence.

"Four hundred mill." Pope replied.

"All right, let's talk the split," Jj said getting straight to the point. "Now, before we say "evenly" may I remind you that I am the only one that can properly defend us from those groupers who were after us. Protection? Not cheap, okay?" Esme rolled her eyes at Jj's garbage offer.
