The next morning I lay facing the ceiling of Suyin's bedroom, my thoughts racing through my head. Late last night, my father had informed me that Lin would be returning to the Fire Nation with us so she can cope through her breakup. There was already a chamber being made for her as we spoke. 

Part of me felt butterflies swarm in my stomach from the news, the other side felt something else. I was worried for Lin, she was my friend but something didn't feel right about her coming back with us. She had never shown an interest in the fire nation, and now she was coming to stay for weeks- possibly even months. 
What would cause my friend to do this?

"Y/n," Lin peaked her head into the room. "Yes?" I respond. "Your dad said we are leaving soon." She spoke quietly. "Why are you coming?" I ask, I didn't mean it to come out rudely but part of me didn't understand it. She had never been interested in my culture, or my home and now she'd coming back with us. I had known her my entire life and this just felt so off. "What do you mean?" She asks, stepping into the room. "I mean, you have never cared for the fire nation. Much less the people apart of it, what changed your mind?" I ask, my voice raising a little bit. "Y/n-" 
"I just don't understand, why are you changing your mind-"
My words were cut off by Lin smashing her lips into mine, I felt my eyes widen as I began to kiss back. My hand began to grasp for her hair, "Lin-" I break away. "I'm coming back for you, Y/n." She stated, standing up and dusting her pants off. She turned to smile at me before walking out of the room. 

I sat there for a moment, my mind swarming. This wasn't right, was I taking advantage of her? She just got out of an extremely long relationship and now she's smashing into your lips with passion and eagerness. I don't understand, what's going on?
