I placed my bag on Suyin's bed, usually she'd help me unpack but I didn't feel the need to unpack. We would be here for a week and there was no point of unpacking and packing everything up again. It would be a waste of energy.
"I wonder what they're talking about." Su questioned, sticking her head against the door. "Probably how many times their boyfriends did something dumb." I giggled, pushing my bag farther on her bed. "Aren't you close to their age?" Suyin asked, watching as I plopped down onto her bed. "Yeah, so-" I was cutoff by her yell. "So, you can spy on them!"
"There's no way I am doing that." I stated. "Please Y/N! I'll do anything." She begged, sliding down her door and doing some sort of puppy-dog eyes. "Fine. But you owe me." I frowned, making my towards her door. "You're the best!" She smiled, "I know."
I made my way down the hallway, knocking on Lin's door. "Go away Suyin." She growled, only for me to laugh. "Not Suyin." I replied, pushing the door open. "Oh hi Y/N." Izumi smiled. "Sit." Lin demanded, "right-"

The conversation lasted for what felt like forever, and I was physically drained from hearing about their boy problems. "Are you sure you don't want a boyfriend?" Izumi frowned, "sounds gross." I replied almost instantly. "Are you sure you aren't just a little attracted to someone?" Lin asked, pushing the question farther into my head.
"I'm sure." I noted, "what about Bumi- he's like your best friend." Izumi questioned. "Right, Bumi and you would make the cutest couple!" Lin smiled, "I think that it's time I head to bed." I replied, nearly leaping off of Lin's bed.

I could barely sleep that night, maybe it was the fact that Suyin snores extremely loud or the fact that everytime I fell asleep I thought of what Izumi and Lin said. It was true that Bumi was my best friend, and I was nearly sure that I had no feelings for him. But Lin's words circled around in my head. I'd never thought of it like that, maybe if I did get a boyfriend I wouldn't have to deal with Izumi's constant teasing.
It wouldn't be right though, I genuinely had no romantic feelings for Bumi and I knew that. I sat up on the bed, I needed some sort of water- or drink. I snuck off into the kitchen, sitting down at the table as I sipped on some water. It wasn't until Lin spoke, that I realized truly how long I'd been sitting there. "What are you thinking about?" She asked, sitting next to me.
"Just thinking." I replied, not even looking up from my water. "Y/N you do know that Izumi and I were just teasing you right? You don't have to have a boyfriend you don't want one. There's nothing wrong with not liking boys." She smiled to me.
"Yeah I know."
