17 - babysitting day

hello I'm here after two weeks full of exams and tests ! I've been wanting to ask you guys if you wanted me to write an one-shot for Christmas?
I hope everyone is taking care of themselves! Enjoy this one-shot and feedback is always appreciated ;)

It was a yell that woke up Jisoo that morning.

"Uncle Soo !"

He groaned in his pillows before sitting up in bed fully expecting Hyejin to enter the room and cuddle like she always does.

"Hyejin honey, I told you uncle Soo is tired, let him rest for now."

Jisoo smiled hearing the voice of his boyfriend calming his niece down.

"But I want hugs from uncle Soo."

"How about we make him breakfast ? And you can hug him as you want once he wakes up ?"

"Okay !"

The voices quiet down as they left the bedroom door. Today was babysitting day, the day Jisoo and Seokmin babysat Hyejin, the daughter of Seokmin's sister. They did this one time a week as they really love spending time with the toddler. And even if Jisoo would like some more sleep, he has to get up. At least to see the two making a mess in the kitchen trying to make breakfast.

Once he got up and fixed his bed hair, he joined the duo in the kitchen. When Hyejin saw him, she ran to him and asked to be carried.

"Good morning uncle Soo !"

"Good morning Hyejin."

"Me and uncle Minnie made you breakfast."

"Really ? Did you have fun ?"

"Yes !"

"Why don't you go watch cartoons while I eat breakfast so we can play after, what do you think ?"

"Yes !"

He put the little girl down and watched her turn on the TV.

Jisoo then felt arms circle his waist and he was met with the face of his boyfriend.

"Good morning Minnie."

"Good morning baby. Did you sleep well ?"

"Yes but if I knew Hyejin would be here, I would not have worked that late."

"You're still tired ?"

"A bit."

The two sat at the kitchen's table and Jisoo ate the waffles thoughtfully made by Seokmin and Hyejin.

"I'm surprised you did not make a mess."

"I must say I'm pretty proud of myself."

"When will your sister pick her up ?"

"At twelve. They're going on holiday this afternoon. She just needed some quiet time to pack."

"It was not a planned babysitting day ?"

"No."

"So we can actually watch a movie this morning and the job is done."

"Did you not promise her to play ?"

"I'm pretty sure that if I put any Disney movie on she will forget about playing."

"You're right. Go wash your teeth, I'll do the dishes."

Jisoo stole a kiss from Seokmin's lips before escaping to the bathroom to wash up and change. When he came into the living room, Hyejin and Seokmin were searching for what movie they would be watching. He sat down beside his boyfriend as Hyejin successfully picked a DVD out of the shelves.

"Sleeping Beauty !"

She gave the DVD box to Seokmin and sat on Jisoo's lap waiting for the movie to begin. Once the three were perfectly set on the couch, Jisoo pressed play on the remote and the movie began. As the time passed, they could notice that Hyejin was getting sleepy and halfway through the movie she fell asleep. Seokmin took her to the bedroom to let her sleep in peace. When he came back, Jisoo was still watching the movie.

"I can't believe she fell asleep."

"Maybe she was up early."

"According to my sister she was up at 6:30."

"And you seriously can't believe she fell asleep ?"

"She's usually full of energy."

"I know. Now come here and cuddle with me."

Seokmin chuckled and joined his boyfriend on the couch. They watched movies, their legs entangled until Hyejin got out of their bedroom.

"Uncle Minnie ! Uncle Soo ! I'm up."

Jisoo got up from the couch and picked up the little girl.

"Did you have a nice sleep honey ?"

"Yes. Can I have some milk please ?"

"Of course. Let's get you some."

The duo walked into the kitchen, took the milk out of the fridge and Jisoo even let Hyejin pour the milk into her sippy cup.

They came back to the couch as Seokmin was puting 'The Little Mermaid' on. Hyejin sat on his lap, her attention directed to the movie while she sipped her milk. The wedding scene was playing when someone knocked at the door. Hyejin's mom was here.

The mother and daughter left ten minutes after that. The two lovers wishing them a happy holiday and to have lots of fun.

"So what do you want to do this afternoon ?"

"How about we pick that Christmas tree we've been talking about ?"

"Seems like a good idea. Let's do that."

"We could also go out for lunch ?"

"Yes. We could go to that Italian restaurant we've been wanting to try."

"Perfect, let's leave in thirty minutes."

And after a quick change of clothes, they were on the way to the restaurant. They spent a great moment together trying some new food and laughing at some made up jokes.

"Minnie, I've been wanting to ask you something."

"What is it baby ?"

"We both love taking care of Hyejin and spending time with her. She's just so cute and everything."

"Yes, of course. What do you want to ask me ?"

"Our friends have been adopting for a few years now and I've been wondering if you want to have a baby with me ?"

"You want a baby ?"

"Yes. You don't want one, Jisoo asked very sadly."

"Oh baby, I would love to have a child with you."

"Really ?"

"Of course. I really want us to have a family."

"Oh my god, I'm so happy."

"Me too, we'll start the procedures after the holidays. Does that sound good ?"

"It's perfect. I love you."

"I love you too."

The two shared a sweet kiss, both really happy with the outcome of the conversation. They will adopt a child. They are going to be a family, they are more than ready to shower their future child with love. Who could have known that babysitting Hyejin a morning would have got them on this new step of their life together ?

The two went on with their afternoon happier than ever.
