21 - fake dating

"I need your help !"

"Well hello to you, hyung."

"Please Minnie, help me !"

"Okay, breathe and explain what is going on."

"My family is coming."

"Why do you need help ? You're always saying you miss them."

"I do miss them but I didn't tell them I'm no longer in a relationship. And they are expecting to meet my boyfriend."

"Okay and what does it have to do with me ?"

"Well you see..."

Seokmin, who was cleaning their dorm room, met Jisoo's eyes and knew immediately.

"No. I won't do it."

"Please, it's just for two weeks."

"I'm not doing it."

And yet, here he was three days later in the airport waiting for his roommate's family. Jisoo was holding his hand really tightly and a big smile was adoring his face. If you ask Seokmin, it was one of the times he saw Jisoo this happy. It looked good on him. Pure happiness.

Minutes later, he watched his sweet hyung getting squeezed in the arms of his parents as tears falled down his face. Jisoo's mom dried her son's tears with her fingers before hugging him again. Once he was out of his mom's embrace, his dad ruffled his hair and Jisoo hugged his grandma who was patiently waiting for him to come to her. Seokmin smiled at the sweet scene. When Jisoo was out of his grandma's arms, he went back to his roommate and held his hand again.

"Are you okay ?"

"Yes. It's so good to see them."

"I'm happy for you."

"Thank you Minnie."

"Oh you must be Jisoo's boyfriend ?"

"Yes ma'am. I'm Seokmin, nice to meet you."

"It's nice meeting you too. I'm glad Jisoo has someone to take care of him. You know how he can get."

"Yes, I know."

It surprises Seokmin how easily he stepped into the role of Jisoo's boyfriend. It was natural. He guessed that after taking care of Jisoo for such a long time it was doable to fit in this role quickly. Dare he said he even liked it.

Then, the two of them led Jisoo's family to one of the taxis waiting outside the airport, promising to meet for lunch in less than an hour. The two friends took the bus to reunite with them in one of the best restaurants in the city.

"You don't need to hold my hand anymore Minnie."

"It's fine, I don't mind."

After those words, Seokmin could swear that his hyung held his hand tighter and his cheeks were sporting a blush.

"I'm sorry, I got you into this mess. I know you didn't want to. But thank you."

"You promised to do the laundry for two months and to cook every day for a month. Less chores for me. I couldn't say no !"

"You're silly."

"I don't think this fake boyfriend situation will change anything for us, we already take care of each other everyday."
