24 - ice breaker

hello :) I'm publishing the request of t_jxde today ! I hope you'll like what I wrote with your idea.
It is an ice-skating au, I don't know much about figure ice-skating so I hope I did not make too much mistakes ! I have other requests in the making which I am really excited about !
Hope you'll enjoy this one shot and feedback is always appreciated ;)

It was well known in the ice-skating world that Hong Jisoo and Lee Seokmin were extremely talented skaters. Indeed both shine at every competition, sweet smiles to the crowd, never a mistake. They were the new stars of the ice-skating world. All fans know their names and they even respectively have a very large fan base, which follows them to every competition. They even seem to be great friends.

But in reality, they can't even see each other without an intense rage taking over them. At the beginning of their careers they seemed to get along just fine, but once popularity got involved they couldn't even look at each other without a petty fight starting. In public, they were cordial with each other for the sake of the public, and their coaches, and their filmed talks at the beginning of competitions were just a way to gain fans. Their jealousy, let's call a cat a cat, was a fuel for both of them to do better than the other. So when the news dropped the fans were ecstatic and the rivals furious.

"WHAT ?"

"Jisoo calm down."

"CALM DOWN !? YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT I WILL ENTER A COMPETITION WITH LEE SEOKMIN !"

"It is not a competition, it's an event for the South-Korean Ice-Skating Organization."

"Why can't I just skate alone ?"

"Stop whining, it won't work. And they want both of you together, so be nice."

"Be nice !? He's the one that should be nice, not me !"

"Stop being a spoiled child and be ready in ten minutes !"

"But Seungcheol..."

"No but. Be on the rink in ten minutes, we'll start practicing."

"He's coming ? Now ?"

"Yes."

And with that Seungcheol, Jisoo's best friend and coach, was out of the changing room. Jisoo was on the rink in eight minutes, not that he counted, and thought with delight that Lee Seokmin was late.

In a car in the parking lot of the rink where Jisoo trained, Seokmin and his coach Jihoon were having a heated conversation.

"What are we still doing here !?"

"Stop being a brat one second and get out of this car."

"But hyung I can't train with him !"

"Oh you can and trust me you will."

"Do you really want to throw away an opportunity given to you by SKISO ?"

"No but..."

"Perfect, now get out of the car and we'll go train."

"But hyung it's Hong Jisoo !"

"Yes. And you're Lee Seokmin. Both of you are professionals and fan favorites. Now let's go or you get any chicken wings tonight. And don't test me, this outing with Seungkwan and Soonyoung will be done if I tell them you need to train more."

"Okay, let's go."

"One last thing. Be nice."

"I'm always nice !"

"Yeah sure."

They finally got out of the car with their bags and entered the rink. Their eyes were immediately caught by Jisoo doing an axel under the supervision of his coach.
