35 - darling

hello :) I'm sorry for disappearing but I was in vacation and then I move to uni but here I am now.
Today's oneshot is based on the request of junnie_jxde so I hope it would be up to your expectations!

Hybrids were well accepted in Korean society. You could see them everyday, they worked and had the same rights as every citizen. They were very respected and the laws discriminating them were abolished thousand years ago. People who lived in the countryside were less used to seeing them but no incidents have happened since more than forty years. Children learned about the hybrids and humans at the same time, as well as each species differences at a young age so no problem would occur. Relationships between humans and hybrids were now accepted in society. Even if some were not totally okay with this type of relationship, it was now normal to see couples composed of humans and hybrids in the streets.

Seokmin and Jisoo are a normal couple. They have been living together for two years now, first as roommates and now as a couple. Even if they still get some disapproving stares and extremely rude comments whenever they're visiting some of Seokmin's relatives, their relationship is totally normal. What some of Seokmin's relatives can't seem to accept is not the fact that Jisoo is a man but that he is a bunny hybrid. But they don't care anymore and Seokmin decided that he would stop seeing those special relatives if they can't accept his boyfriend. Well until today, because his grandma decided that it would be a great idea to reunite the whole family for lunch at her house. Jisoo decided to not go with Seokmin to this gathering to not cause any trouble.

Seokmin woke up the morning of the gathering with his boyfriend glued to his side. He felt his boyfriend's bunny ears tickling his neck and when he looked to his side, he saw Jisoo deep asleep beside him. Not wanting to wake his lover up, Seokmin tried to escape his grasp. He did not achieve his goal as Jisoo groaned beside him as his ears rose up on his head and he took a hold on Seokmin's waist.

"You need to let me go darling."

"Let's go back to sleep."

"I can't. I have lunch at grandma's."

"Oh. It's today."

"Yeah, so if you could let me go, I could go get ready and you could sleep some more."

"If I don't have you for the day, the least you could do is cuddle me awake."

"Fine but no more than ten minutes."

"Works for me."

Seokmin let out a giggle as Jisoo wrapped a leg around his waist to keep him from moving. In return, Seokmin started to trail his fingers through his boyfriend's hair, giving his ears an occasional scratch which made Jisoo sigh in pleasure. Ten minutes into their cuddle session, Jisoo detached himself from Seokmin and rose up from the bed.

"A deal is a deal. You can go get ready for lunch with your family."

"You know I'll prefer to cuddle with you, right ?"

"Yeah I know."

Seokmin smiled before kissing his boyfriend's forehead and leaving for the bathroom.

"I'll prepare breakfast."

Seokmin heard his boyfriend's yell once he got out of the shower. Once he was dressed, he got in the kitchen and saw Jisoo sitting in front of two bowls and one box of cereal.

"I thought you said you would make breakfast ?"

"No, I said I'll prepare breakfast so today it is my favorite cereal !"

"You're playing on the words darling."

"Well, you're gonna be gone the majority of the day and I want my kisses and to cuddle some more."

"No problem."

Seokmin smiled before kissing Jisoo's temple, his cheeks, his nose and then his lips making him erupt in giggle. When Seokmin pulled away from his boyfriend he saw his pink cheeks, his ears dressed happily on his head and his famous nose scrunch. The nose scrunch was one of Seokmin's favorite features of Jisoo. It appeared when Jisoo was smiling so big, making him the cutest person in his boyfriend's eyes.

"Enough kisses for now darling ?"

"Yeah, you can eat breakfast now."

The two ate breakfast calmly in silence, stealing kisses here and there before Jisoo dragged Seokmin to the couch for his morning cuddles. He sat in his boyfriend's lap and wrapped his arms around Seokmin's neck, hugging him tight.

"I'll be back very soon my darling.'' whispered Seokmin into Jisoo's hair.

"I'm still going to miss you."

"I'm going to miss you too."

Seokmin's arms tightened their hold on Jisoo's waist.

"You should have enough carrots for the day, we'll go buy more tomorrow."

"We still have carrots ?"

"Yeah, I hid some because if I don't you eat them all in one day."

"That's not true."

"You know it is. I even bought you some carrot cake for today."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Seokmin made sure his boyfriend had enough of his favorite snacks for the day because Jisoo had that habit of munching onto everything he can. Even more when Seokmin was not here so he had quite the stock of carrots and two slices of their favorite carrot cake in the fridge.

"I need to go now darling."

"Just a bit longer."

"You know I can't. I promised Grandma to help her."

"Fine. Say hello to her and your parents for me."

"Will do. I love you, I'll be home soon."

"I love you too. One last kiss please ?"

Seokmin pulled his boyfriend into one last kiss before standing up from the couch and going to his grandma's house.

Seven hours later, Jisoo was sitting on the couch, his ears falling into his eyes as he was sad Seokmin left so long ago. His ears rose up when he heard the front door opening and he ran to the door leaving his blankets and plates all over the coffee table. He hugged Seokmin tightly the moment his eyes landed on him.

"Oh my darling. I'm so happy to be home."

"How was the lunch ?"

"Long. I lost my temper multiple times because of the comments from my uncles."

"Comments about me ?"

"Yeah, it was so discriminatory, made me want to throw up."

"I'm glad you're home then."

"Me too, my darling."

"Let's go cuddle."
