18 - christmas shopping

part one of my christmas one-shots ! there will be two parts so I hope you'll enjoy this first one :)

"Baby let's go !"

"Wait ! I can't find the hoodie I want !"

"We should have been at the mall half an hour ago !"

"There is no time set for Christmas shopping dummy !"

Seokmin smiled when he saw his boyfriend come out of their room wearing a way too big hoodie.

"Isn't it a bit big ?"

"It's cozy size !"

"Can we go now ?"

"Let me grab my coat and we can go !"

Seokmin watched his boyfriend take his coat out of the closet and put it on before offering him his hand. Jisoo took it immediately and put a quick kiss on his lips.

"Let's go now ! We have gifts to buy !"

The two lovers got out of their apartment to go to their car and they were on their way to the mall. They had to get Christmas gifts for their families and friends. The ride to the mall was far away from being quiet as the two sung Christmas songs to get 'in holiday mood'. They arrived at the mall after a ten minutes ride.

"So what should we get first ?"

"How about we split up and we begin by getting each other gifts ?"

"That would have been a good idea but I already got yours hidden somewhere at home."

"Wait really ?"

"Yes."

"Then I'll go pick up your gift and you go pick up Hyejin's gift. How does that sound ?"

"Perfect. See you later, baby."

The two lovers split up after a little kiss. Seokmin was going to the toy store to get his niece's gift. Him and Jisoo chose to get the little girl one of these car toys she has been talking about for months. He chose a big blue car that he knew the girl would love. And as he was walking to the cashier, he saw tiger plushies. He chuckled by himself and took one for Soonyoung, one of their closest friends. He knew Jihoon will scold them a little saying that they 'already have too many of them at home' but he also knew it would make his best friend ecstatically happy. He then paid for his goods and went to a coffee shop to get some coffee for his boyfriend and him knowing the day will be long.

Jisoo was on his way to buy his first gift to his boyfriend. The last time they went shopping, he had seen a sweater his boyfriend would love. So he decided it would be one of his Christmas presents. The sweater was simple with black and white large stripes. But knowing his boyfriend's love for striped clothes, he knew it would make him happy. After securing his good; he went to the jewelry shop to pick up the bracelet he ordered. It was a nice silver chain bracelet that could go with everything. He at the same time picked up the bracelet charm for Jeonghan's gift.

Jisoo decided to call his boyfriend to know where he is and to finally go Christmas shopping together. Seokmin answered at the first ring.

"Hey Minnie !"

"Hey baby, are you done ?"

"Yes. Where can I find you ?"

"I'm at the coffee shop."

"Okay, see you in five Minnie."

Jisoo walked to the coffee shop and met his boyfriend who had a cup of coffee in hand.

"Is this for me ?"

"Yeah. I feel like you're gonna need some coffee to finish Christmas shopping."

"You're not wrong. Let's go now."

"Which gift do you wanna buy now ?"

"Maybe Wonwoo's ? So we could do our moms' at the same time ?"

Seokmin nodded and followed his boyfriend to the book shop. He remembered they chose to buy an exclusive version of Wonwoo's favorite book.

"Baby, what are we getting for our moms ?"

"I thought of some poetry books for your mom and mine's been talking about that expensive cookbook she wanted. And we have the scrapbooks we've made at home."

"Oh perfect."

"What do you think we should get for your dad ?"

"Maybe a scarf or something like that. He gets sick easily now."

"That's a cute idea."

"Do you want to buy something for your dad ?"

Jisoo's dad passed away three years ago and Christmas could be a hard time especially since Jisoo and his dad used to spend the most time together for Christmas as they were not able to see each other often because of their work.

"I think I'm gonna buy flowers to put on his grave and go during Christmas week."

"Do you want me to go with you ?"

"Only if you want but I'll like that a lot."

"Then I'll come with you."

"Thank you."

Jisoo then kissed Seokmin and left to find the book his mom had been talking about. They spend another ten minutes in the book shop searching for gifts. They even found a book for Seokmin's sister on how to be a good cook.

After more than five hours at the mall, they finally had all their gifts ready. They had a gift for every one of their eleven friends and their two families. Putting everything in the car was one hell of a task since their arms were full of bags. The ride home was as noisy as the ride to the mall as they were imagining the reaction of everyone when they opened their gifts. Once at their apartment, they put their bags in the living room. Jisoo carefully puts away his gifts for Seokmin.

"You do realize that we have to wrap them now ?"

"Now ? Can't we do it tomorrow ?"

"Yes, now. It'll be fun."

"Don't you prefer cuddling ?"

"As good as that sounds, if we don't wrap those gifts now, we're never going to do it."

"You're not wrong. Just let me make some hot chocolate."

Jisoo smiled as he watched Seokmin disappear into the kitchen. He went to grab the wrapping and put a movie on Netflix. He sat on the floor with the presents all around him and started wrapping.

"Oh baby, I forgot to tell you that I requested my family house in the mountains for Christmas eve."

"Really ? Are we doing something big with our families ?"

"No. Just us two. What do you think ?"

"I like that idea."

"We will stay there for four days. Is that okay with you ?"

"I have no problem with that. But we had plans for Christmas and the week after."

"I took care of it, don't worry."

"Then I can't wait to spend Christmas with you, Minnie."

"Me too baby, you have no idea."

Seokmin re-entered the living room, two cups of hot chocolate in hand. He watched as his boyfriend was struggling with the wrapping paper.

"Why did we buy that for Soonyoung ? It's an absolute disaster to wrap it."

Seokmin let out a laugh at his boyfriend's struggle.

"Don't laugh and come help me !"

"Yes Captain !"

They spend their evening wrapping the presents and laughing, Jisoo having no idea of his gift hidden in Seokmin's family house.
