26 - meeting the parents

hello :) how are you guys doing ? I know I haven't published a lot lately, I am currently in my exam period to complete my year so I've been rather busy. I'm sorry and I am trying to write more often. Always remember to take care of your health.
Anyway today's oneshot is based on an idea of Ihop_ipop so I hope you'll like it and that it's up to your expectations

"I'm scared."

Jisoo was pressed against Seokmin's chest, hiding from the door in front of him.

"Shua, love, it's gonna be fine. They'll like you."

"How can you know ? You're not in their head."

"No but I know them, they're my parents. Believe me or not, they are very excited to meet you."

"Doesn't matter, I'm still scared."

Seokmin let out a chuckle before kissing Jisoo's head and knocking at the door. It opened revealing a small woman wearing the same smile as Seokmin.

"You guys are here !"

"Hi mom !"

"Hi Mrs Lee."

"Come in. Come in. Don't stay outside, you'll catch a cold !"

The couple followed Seokmin's mom in the house, Jisoo walking quietly beside Seokmin who had his arm wrapped around his waist. They arrived at the living room, where Jisoo could discover the numerous photos of his boyfriend. They were ones with his sister, ones where he was alone and smiling brightly, baby ones. Don't get him wrong the photo wall was equally shared between the two Lee children but his attention was more drawn to the one of his boyfriend.

"If you're interested in Seokmin's baby photos I can give you some."

"Mom !"

"Don't start whining. Go get your dad in the kitchen."

Seokmin left the living room after kissing Jisoo's cheek.

"I'll sneak some to you before the end of your stay."

"Really ?"

"Yeah, it's no problem."

"Thank you so much."

"You're welcome sweetie. Now, Do you want something to eat ? Or to drink ?"

"A glass of water would be fine."

"I'll be back with that, sit anywhere you want."

Jisoo nodded and sat on a couch facing the photo wall. He didn't hear his boyfriend sitting right next to him.

"Mom said you wanted a glass of water but they had your favorite juice. So I brought both !"

"Oh thanks but the water is fine."

"I'll just drink the juice. Do you feel better ?"

"Way less nervous, your mom is nice."

"I told you !"

Their conversation got interrupted by Seokmin's parents re-entering the living room. Seokmin's dad was carrying a little dog.

"Is that Buddy ?"

"You know the dog ?"

"Seokmin is always saying how much he misses his dog. I remember when we first met, he had a picture of him as his lock screen. I saw so many pictures."

"It doesn't surprise me, that dog was his best friend in high school."

"Really, I thought that was Soonyoung ?"
