28 - rival families

Hello today's one shot is based on an idea of ishouldb3sleeping so I hope it will be up to your expectations but I had so much fun writing it ;)
It is a werewolf au with some rivalries so I hope you guys will have enjoy it as much as I do !

The one thing that all wolves knew it was to never associate the Lee family with the Hong family. The two families have been rivals for centuries and that generational hate goes on for what seems to be forever. They were two of the more powerful families of the werewolf species and even if they should stop this hatred for the well being of their community, well let's just say it was in none of the two family projects. So when the heir of each family ended up in the same kindergarten, the werewolf community was expecting a bloodshed. And it almost happened because the two kids got out of the school beaming and promising to be friends forever. Their parents saw red, immediately separated them and put them in separate schools. They made sure the two boys would never cross the same path until they could learn and integrate their families values and hatred for each other.

And now the boys will be released into society. They were both finished with their studies and were following the career path given by their family. They will be presented in a ceremony which will introduce them to potential mates of this season. This ceremony was taken very seriously by the community and each mating season was followed with interest as families from all over the world introduced a new person.

"Do you remember ?"

"Yes Mom. Do not make contact with the Hong boy under any circumstances."

"Sweetie, I can't believe you're old enough to present at the ceremony."

"I finished my studies, I have a job. It was time I was presented if you ever want grandchildren."

"Silly boy. I leave you now. I'm already so proud of you, no matter who will be your future mate."

"Thanks Mom. See you later."

His mom waved and Seokmin was alone. He was left in a spacious room waiting for the rest of the participants to arrive. He was not nervous, it was not that important for him. He did it for tradition and to please his grandmother. Grandmother who was very angry when she learned that her grandson will be presented at the same time as the Hong heir. And how he understood her. The Hong family was full of hypocrite people who could not respect a pact and they were thieves. Four centuries ago they stole the family heirloom that was so precious to Seokmin's family : the MoonStone. And knowing that he learned to hate the Hongs as much as the rest of his family.

He got interrupted in his thoughts by a boy entering the room. The boy didn't even look at him but Seokmin saw a glance of his face and knew he was the prettiest boy he had ever seen. All he could see now was longish light brown hair falling into the boy's face, not allowing Seokmin to take another look at his face. He was dressed in the same tuxedo as Seokmin, but his was white whereas Seokmin's one was black. Opposites. That shouldn't please Seokmin as much as it did, knowing he had no idea who that pretty boy was. And when another boy joined the pretty boy like it was his place, the Lee heir couldn't stop the pang of jealousy from spreading in his chest.

In no time, the room was filled with way too many people for Seokmin's liking but the ceremony was about to start and he could finally know who that pretty boy was. Pretty boy who was still in the same boy's company, laughing and smiling with him. And how much Seokmin wanted this to be directed to him. He longed and wanted that boy for himself. If his best friend was here he would say that he should listen to what his inner wolf was telling him and do everything possible to make that boy his. But Soonyoung was not here and everything needed to be done following tradition, he reminded himself as he, finally, followed a worker to the ceremony room.
