Mumei seemed quirky to you at first glance, as she spoke with a soft voice much like Fauna, the unrelenting comedic clumsiness of Gura, and the somewhat level-headedness as Ina.

"Where'd my pencil go?" Mumei looked around everywhere. Under her textbooks, laptop, and even herself.

She also had the formidable forgetfulness as Amelia.

"Right here." You plucked the mechanical pencil out of hair from behind her. Her friend popped out of nowhere as you came from behind.

"Y/N! When did you get here?!" She jumped. The nameless paper bag looked angered at first, but when it caught sight of you it seemed relieved. It found its' way around you as a way to double check if it really was you.

"Been here long enough to see you lose it over your pencil." You chuckled, offering her writing instrument, sitting down next to her.

"Also long enough to scare the life out of my friend here, Y/N." The bag nodded in agreement. "Though, thanks a lot, Y/N. Where would I be without you?" She smiled brightly. Like an infection, you couldn't help but to smile back.

"Probably here... without me..." You joked.

"Real funny." Mumei jabbed her elbow into your arm.

"Ow... tough crowd, I guess." You snickered.

"That's it!" She pinched your cheeks, giggling.

You woke up to Mumei's hand ruffling through your hair. By what you could see, it looks like you were laying on her lap.

"Mumei...? What happened...?" You mumbled.

"You fell asleep on my shoulder... Then I put you on my lap." Mumei yawned.

"You're still studying? How late is it?"

"It's only three in the morning..." Mumei flipped a page.

"Three? Wait. - You've been up for five hours!Including the time I've seen you today!" You sat up.

"You know I'm a night owl, Y/N. Plus this exam could kill me if I don't study."

"Not getting enough sleep is going to contribute to the exam killing you." You sat on your knees, tilting her head towards you. "Look at your eyes, Mumei..."

Dark bags hung below them. Both eyes blinked slowly, but one slightly faster than the other. Adjacent to her was her friend, who seemed to be fast asleep.

"Mmh~" Mumei's head rested in your hand. As she tried to straighten herself, her head drooped over to the opposite side.

"At your limit now, huh..." You pulled her towards your chest, basically cradling her.

"Y/N's heartbeat..." Mumei smiled subtly, humming a satisfactory tone.

You figured it would be too much to take her upstairs, so you picked her up and sat her down on the couch. You sourced a blanket from the closet and draped it over her.
