Hi.

Yandere Fauna. Spicy, maybe?

Yup.

...

Your hands had remained in your pockets for almost the entire day, trying to keep them warm from the frosty air.

You were walking alongside Fauna, who invited you out to help her with her errands. You accepted in a friendly gesture, as she wasn't used to the loud and rambunctious Japan, but also you wanted to get on good terms, maybe even a bit more if you were lucky.

"Y-You aren't f-freezing, F-Fauna?" You asked. Even though you were both layered up well, Fauna didn't seem too phased about the weather.

She quickly caught on and immediately offered her scarf. You were partially freaked out, but you didn't give it an extra thought; perhaps it was out of the pure kindness Fauna has.

"Y/N, my scarf!" But she seemed to notice how punctual she was and calmed down. "I mean, d-do you want my scarf?"

"U-Uh, sure. I'd love that Fauna, thanks." Your hand brushed up against hers as you took the scarf in. She appeared elated; happy that you took in her offering.

"This - this is it, right?" You held out a piece of paper that had an address apparently for the large building in front of you. "Yagoo treats his idols well..." You sighed,

"Yeah, I suppose so." Fauna shyly giggled, a quirk that you've noticed, almost usually occurring after every sentence she speaks.

"Can I - I mean, offer you anything while you're here?" She asked.

"Offer? What do you mean?"

"A warm drink, maybe tea perhaps?"

You looked at your watch, it was relatively late but then again, you didn't mind spending time to get along with Fauna.

"Sure. Not for too long, though. I've got a meet-up at an expo tomorrow." You replied.

"A-Ah. I'm glad." She muttered.

"For?"

"U-Um! The expo! The opportunities that you have as an idol at Hololive!" She stammered.

"Oh. I mean, don't you have the same opportunities, though? We're both idols after all."

"Yeah, of course..." She awkwardly smiled.

You guided Fauna through the building and managed to take an elevator up to the thirty-fourth floor.

"Jeez, all the way up here?" You sighed.

"I'm sure your home is just as nice as mine. The point is that, if you have a roof over your head, it's just as good as any home." Fauna remarked.

"I guess you can put it that way." You sniffled.

You walked through the hallway and stopped at a door. Beside it, a placard or nameplate that simply read 'Fauna' glimmered by the bright lights overhead.

"This is it, huh." You sniffled again.

"I hope you're not sick..." She sighed, unlocking the door.

"Me too, I'd hate to miss that event."

"H-Hate? That's a really powerful word."

"Did I say something insensitive? I'm sorry, I didn't know that would mean something to you." You apologized repeatedly.

"That's why I like you, Y/N. You're very kind." She smiled brightly. "Come on in."

The room was quite cozy for its' size. You thought it would be big, but it's just as normal as any other studio apartment. You followed Fauna around, looking around at the rooms which you've passed. There you saw her room, with her peripherals scattered around, along with the odd-looking device with ears on it; which you figured was the 3Dio device she used for her ASMR streams. Then a humble kitchen, followed lastly by a lightly decorated living room.

A kotatsu remained in the middle of the living room, a classic accent to the winter weather in Japanese culture. Fauna offered you to stay warm under it and left to make some tea. You glared around, possibly to pick up things you could make conversations with.

Before you knew it, Fauna returned, placing a tray down on top of the kotatsu. Instead of sitting across from you, she sat adjacent to you - a bit closer than you thought. She now arranged the teacups, one for you and one for her. As she poured out the tea, steam billowed from the cups.

"You don't need to wait for me." She smiled. Slightly embarrassed you picked up the cup and remained.

"Thanks for the tea." You sipped from the cup. It was warm, not to mention it was quite herbal - very herbal. Fauna followed suit and too sipped from her cup.

"You're very welcome." She giggled again.

The tea had some sort of effect on you, though, you couldn't discern what exactly was happening. For one, you felt warm -  comforted. But two, somewhat drowsy...

"What kind of tea is this?" You asked.

"It's green tea." She replied.

"Green tea?" The tea was bitter just like green tea, but it just didn't sit right with you.

"Something the matter, Y/N?"

"N-No..." You nervously chuckled, taking another sip.

But that seemed to do it.

"You can rest now, my sapling." You shook your head slowly. 'Rest? But I'm not even close to tired...' you thought.

You knew for a fact Fauna calls her followers "Saplings", but why she called you sapling instead of your name - you had no idea...

"F-Fauna? Rest?" Your eyelids drooped, along with your head, bobbing.

"That's right," She giggled. "You're with Fauna now, don't worry."

Your head hit the table, but you never felt it. The world around you seemed to fade.

...

You mumbled a few words before waking up. You still couldn't move, but you could feel what seemed to be bed sheets.

You could also smell a distinctive scent.

Fauna.

You could hear her breathe so close to your ear. The response sent tingles down your spine and a prickly, frightening sensation in your head. You sharply inhaled.

You could feel her so tightly against you, her bosom enveloped your arm.

"Haahh...~" She breathed.

You were convinced that you could not escape.

Was she asleep? You couldn't tell. Only your eyes were capable of moving.

You moved them over to the side as much as you could.

Mother Nature was staring you down.

"You're the only one I need. You're my own..." She breathed again. "You're my only sapling."

"I know you have eyes for everyone else, even me. But could you..." She gripped tighter on your arm. "Save your glances for me... and only me..."

"F-Fauna..." You mouthed.

"I'm so happy..." She exhaled deeply and began sneaking a hand under your shirt. "I have you all to myself."

Her hand moved through towards the collar, which she fondled your cheek, then pushed your head to make you face her.

"What a beautiful face... And I get to look at it as long as I want." She whispered softly.

"If you run away, I'll come back for you, even if you push me away. I'll always find you. Always."
