"I should've brought gloves." You stared deeply at your freezing hand. With the many pockets on you, most of them were filled up with small articles that would occupy space in the otherwise full bag of gifts. Out of the blue, your hand was met by Lamy's.
"It's cold, Y/N." She smiled - or at least you think she did; her face covered by layers of clothing.
"Don't let go. Please." You begged.
"Why would I?" Lamy giggled.
"Your hand is so warm... I'd die if you did."
"Want me to test that theory?" Lamy smirked.
"No! Please! Lamy!" You squirmed as Lamy slowly let off her grip.
"Just kidding!" Lamy grasped your hand more firmly this time, reassuring you that she wouldn't joke around anymore.
...
After a few more brisk minutes in the outdoors, you fumbled keys to open the front door of your house. The first key didn't work, the second one didn't fit, but the third did the trick, opening the gateway to safety.
"Hah..." You let out a large sigh while Lamy dashed up the stairs. "Lamy?"
The snow elf didn't say another word and disappeared upstairs. You kicked off your shoes and hung up your parka, hastily making your way upstairs to avoid any further contact on the cold wooden floor.
As you walked in, Lamy was under the duvet of your bed still dressed. A shaky arm and hand rose from the covers gesturing you to come closer. You shuffled across the carpet to met her bedside, you briefly lifted the duvet to lay next to her. As you faced her, her arms reached out to you,
"Y/N... cold..." Her voice was shaky and needy, a call for help which you couldn't resist.
"I'm here, Lamy." You got a little bit closer and tucked her in. Suddenly, Lamy squirmed and dove under the covers, snuggling into your chest.
"So warm..." Lamy sighed deeply.
And before you knew it, the snow elf was asleep. As for you, you felt your eyes droop to a close, a good ending to your day.
...
You groggily woke up to a calming sound of rain pattering against the window. Lamy still remained from where she was last night, stuck to you like glue. You caressed her silky blue hair, ruffling your hand through the small seams and it's length.
This happened to wake up Lamy, as she mumbled a few inaudible words and slowly opened her eyes. As soon as she laid eyes on you, her pupils dilated. She smiled brightly, ecstatic at your presence.
