Beep! Beep! Beep!
You smacked the annoying machine off of your nightstand, which only created a bigger mess as it dragged your lamp and other things down to the floor still beeping.
"Aw... what time is it now?" You threw your bedsheets over to the side and crouched down to silence the alarm clock.
"Eight?! Hold on..." Hastily, you brought order to your nightstand, tripped over the alarm clock's wire, then ran over to your laptop.
Typing in your password revealed the email from Yagoo, the time of your interview was thirty minutes ago.
"Fuck." You mumbled.
Having no time to waste, you got ready in your best attire, shoved the essentials into a laptop bag, and dashed out the front door.
It was a complex situation trying to get to the station, as hailing taxis that wouldn't stop for you, probably wasn't time efficient.
So instead you legged it...
Instead of being at the station in 10 minutes as you planned by taxi, it took another 20 on foot.
Now you were an hour late.
"Way to make a bad impression to the CEO!" You gasped as you made your way through crowds of people.
Rushing down the metro stairs, it was the same as if you never left it, instead now - you had blended in as one of the many businessmen off to work.
Getting on the train, bunched up with time-hustled individuals just like you, you sighed deeply.
It was only hopeless to think the big 'what-if?' question of whether or not the train could go any faster, as you were already beyond late. But at the least, you emailed Yagoo back, entailing of your situation.
...
You arrived at the station, got into a taxi, and off you were to Akihabara Plaza to get to your eventual, voided interview.
At the front steps, the building was tall, almost skyscraper tall. At the ground level, tapestry and posters of the various idols that worked at hololive, draped over the tinted glass.
You walked in, pushing the thick glass door open, met a receptionist, who gave you a "friendly" reminder of how late you were, and took an elevator up to the 56th floor.
You couldn't help but feel antsy in the rising elevator car, all you could think were bad thoughts of wasting your time coming all the way up here.
The car dinged and the doors slid open. It was partially crowded out in the open space of average office workers and idols. As you walked into it you were met by a man fitting the description of Yagoo.
"Y/N, pleased to meet you. I've got your email, and trust me." Yagoo patted your back. "You can't believe how many times I've been caught late by my assistant A-chan."
"It's like she always knows where I am for some reason... gives me the creeps." Yagoo laughed.
"Right, well... I hope the atmosphere seems fitting to you. Not everyone gets to be up here." Yagoo walked, and you followed.
