The blue arrow on your phone remained aside a red flag, indicating that you had arrived at your destination. You sighed deeply and stared skeptically at an unusually normal house.
"This is it, huh." You mumbled softly.
The house that you stood before was a simple two-story townhouse in a neighborhood of similarly designed townhouses of varying colors.
Thinking back at what the receptionist had said earlier, you thought the house would look relatively odd by the title given to the assumed homeowner, Amelia Watson, but at a glance - it was as normal as it could ever be.
Putting your phone back into your pocket and tugging your manila folder containing your documents tight, you unhinged the gate to the home and proceeded to the door.
"Uh, anyone home...?" You tapped at the door rather gently, hoping to not frighten anyone at the other side of the door.
Out of your own curiosity, you twisted the door handle.
The door came ajar.
Your hand remained in its' position as the door revealed a dark corridor.
Though it seemed quite unethical and very much of a crime, you decided to make your way inside to avoid unknowing bystanders seeing a random individual fascinated of a door's function.
"I'm coming in..." You announced brusquely.
As you shut the door behind you, you slowly walked down the hallway. Your fists clenched intensely in fear of the consequence of your expedition. A dim light came from an end of the hallway. A living room you proposed in thought, maybe someone was home - or maybe someone completely forgot to turn of the light.
You hid behind the corner before the entranceway and peeked around. A hooded figure was on the couch, facing towards a television, spamming keys of a controller.
"Amelia Watson?" You called.
"Hold on! I'm about to beat this level, don't distract me!" A feminine voice replied.
"Er, alright."
The television went through various states of brightness as explosions and effects flew across the screen with screams and sound effects blasting softly through the speakers.
Suddenly a banner of red colored text saying, "Game Over" spanned the screen.
"Damn it!" The voice cursed, then sighed deeply. The hooded figure placed down the controller gently on a table and threw the hood off its' head.
"I suppose you're here as my new roommate, huh?" The voice seemed peculiar and direct as it boomed in your direction.
"I - uh... yeah!" You responded, somewhat frightened.
The figure suddenly shifted to another side of the room as to turn the lights on, revealing a blue-eyed, bed-hair blonde. She wore an oversized gray zip-up hoodie and large round glasses. A faintly misplaced hair clip sticked out of the matrix of her hair.
"Probably would be better with these lights on." The blonde giggled.
"Y-Yeah." You slightly lost composure to her lazy, yet cute complexity.
"You're already into me - aren't you?" The blonde responded seductively. "How about we get past names and we'll see about the next level."
"Amelia Watson." She added, extending her hand out as she walked up to you.
"Y/N L/N, nice -" As you extended your hand, Amelia grabbed it and pulled you in closely.
"-to meet you too, Y/N." She grinned.
Though it was enticing to just get at it, you controlled yourself and pulled away. As you opened your mouth to speak, Amelia took the words away from you,
"Just gauging the type of person you are." She swirled on a foot. "You're an interesting one."
"What'd you even get from me?"
"Almost everything."
"Born on B/D, lives at 6942-" She stopped as you interrupted her.
"Where - how do you know that?!"
"Your folder, duh." The manila folder that was once in your hands, plopped down onto a table that was beside Amelia.
"What?" You faltered lightly, as the person in front of you essentially robbed you.
"Just by looking at you, I can tell that there's more than just that pretty face of yours." She giggled.
"You sure you're not here to make me your servant or anything?"
She picked up your manila folder and returned it to you.
"You're the one that broke in." Amelia yawned. "Plus - that stuff is weird."
Amelia walked past you and stopped just before the stairwell.
"Come on, let's get you settled in."
As you walked up the stairs, the hallway - in both directions - was filled with scraps and trash.
"You got a pet up here or something?"
"Sorry. Ever since my parents embarked on their business trip, this house suffered the effects of Amelia Watson." Amelia trudged through piles of boxes and what seemed to be like paper assignments. "We're in college for god's sake, a little trash isn't my priority."
"I suppose. But I guess I can help you clean up around here." You suggested. "I basically live here after all."
"I'm not going to stop you. This place could use a little tidying up." Amelia opened a door to a standard sized room, furnished with only with the essentials.
"Well, here you go." Amelia put her hands to her hips. "There's not really much I can say, unless you need me to teach you how a dresser works or something like that."
"No, no, that won't be necessary." You chuckled.
"Good! I'll see you downstairs for dinner later." Amelia gesticulated finger guns as she left the room. "Instant ramen!"
"Amelia Watson in a nutshell, I guess." You sighed as you kicked off your shoes, sitting straight on your new bed.
You placed your belongings, alongside the poorly drawn advertisement of a representation of co-habituation.
"It's like a kindergartner drew this..." You snickered.
You laid your head against the cold pillow and tucked yourself in as you sought after a quick nap before your dinner with Amelia.
