JJ Maybank. Her relationship with JJ was… undefinable. They were friends but sometimes the lines get a bit blurry. They shared everything: food, beer, weed stashes, juul pods, even a bed at times (but not in that way, of course). He was her surfing buddy, her nappying buddy, and her down for whatever buddy. He had been her first kiss; a quick, and awkward peck on the lips during a game of spin the bottle at a friend's birthday party when they were twelve. They never spoke of it again, but she never forgot about it. They were constantly flirting casually, but if either were asked if they liked the other, it was always “nah, we’re just havin fun.”
