Forever and Always | JJ Maybank

Chapter 18

I wake up to the smell of eggs. I roll over and see that JJ isn’t in bed. I grab my phone off his night stand and check the time. 10:10. I crawl out of bed and realize I’m only in my underwear and bra. I grab one of JJ’s shirts and put it on. I walk out of the bedroom and see him standing in front of the stove. I sneak up behind him and wrap my arms around his torso.

“Good morning, princess,” He says, turning around.

“Good morning,” I say. I give him a soft but quick kiss on the lips.

“Breakfast is almost done,” He says, turning back toward the stove.

“Okay, I’m gonna go shower real quick,” I say, walking toward the bathroom. 

 I take a quick shower and then get dressed into one of JJ’s beer shirts and a pair of black Nike pros. I walk back out to the kitchen and JJ already has our plates ready and at the table. I sit down next to him and start eating. I hear a ding come from the bedroom. 

“That’s prolly John B,” I say, getting up. I grab my phone and see a message from John B.

Bird
Hey, are you guys good?

Yea, we just woke up

I walk back out to the kitchen and sit down.

"Who was it?" JJ asks.

"John B, he asked if we were good," I say.

"Alright," JJ says. He stands up and puts his plate in the sink.

Bird
You guys gonna come over? I think we're gonna throw a kegger.

Ofc be there soon.

"Wanna go to the chateau? They're gonna have a kegger tonight." I ask JJ.

"Yea, let me get dressed," He says. He walks into his bedroom and gets dressed. When he's done he comes back into the kitchen.

"Ready to go?" He asks.

"I gotta get my dress."

"Okay, I'll wait in the car," JJ says.

"Okay." He walks out the front door and I walk into his room. I grab my dress and get flashbacks from the night before. I shake them off and walk out to the car and get in. JJ immediately puts his hand on my thigh. We start driving to the chateau with the music on. After a few minutes of driving I turn the music off.

"JJ," I say.

"Yes, princess?"

"What are we?" I ask quietly.

"What do you mean?" He asks, looking over at me.

"Are we just friends or, are we more than that?" I ask.

"I, I don't know. I just kinda assumed that we were dating after I told you I loved you.” He said.

“Well, you never asked the question,” I said. He stays silent. Does he not want to be together? We pull up to the chateau and JJ looks at me.

“Sophia Rose, will you be my girlfriend?” He asks.

“Yes!” I say excitedly.

He leans over and presses a soft kiss on my lips. We both get out of the car and walk inside. John B and Sarah were sitting on the ground by the coffee table playing Uno. Kie and Pope were sitting on the couch. 

“Sophia!” Sarah says, jumping up and giving me a hug.

“Hi!” I say with a laugh. I watch JJ go and sit on the other couch.

“What have you guys been up to?” Kie asks. “You guys left the party pretty early.”

“Um, actually we were gonna talk about that,” I say, sitting next to JJ. I look at him and he nods his head telling me to tell him.

“JJ and I are dating!” I say with a huge smile.

“Yayy!” Sarah and Kie say.

“You are what?!” John B asks.

“Oh John B calm down, let them be.” Sarah says.

“Congrats guys,” Pope says.

“Thank you Pope, Sarah and Kie.” I say. “But you John B, I hate you.” I laugh.

“I’m sorry that my best friend and sister are dating, that’s a little weird to me,” He says, rolling his eyes.

“It’s not that big of a deal,” Sarah says. She gives him a kiss on the cheek to calm him down and he just looks at us.

“Fine, I guess I'm glad you guys are together. It was gonna happen soon anyways,” He says.

“Thank you, John B,” I say. 

Kies phone starts ringing.

“Shit. I forgot I had a shift at the Wreck today. Can one of you take me?” Kie asks.

“Let’s all go,” Pope suggest, looking at Kie. She types something on her phone and looks back up.

“I’m okay with that,” She says.

“Thank god. I'm starving,” John B says. 

We all laugh at him and walk out to the twinkie. The ride to The Wreck was filled with  Kie, Sarah and I screaming one direction well the boys laughed at us.
